If that was the Richmond VA race, I suffered severe head gasket failure. The fire ring between #2 & #3 burnt away. As the hot combustion pumped back and forth between the cylinders, it burnt my new B50 Sportsman block about .080" deep and my head about .040" deep. Talk about being bummed! We brazed the block and head up though and reassembled the motor and still managed to take one more win during the season and set both the ET and MPH records several times.

There will be a full-featured article on our car sometime this winter. MM&FF shot the photos at the Norwalk event.
