Jet Hot power gains?

Anyone notice any power gains from getting headers Jet Hot coated? I'm aware of all of the other advantages, but for $300-350, I would hope for some small power gains. Any experiences or opinions welcome.

rev, not sure man, i know i was at my speed shop, a guy called from mich, wanted his headers done inside & out, there must be something too it.

My experience has been that they just last a helluva lot longer than if they're not, plus underhood temps are cooler. The other option is to just get stainless headers, which is the route I'm going when my blown 408 is underway.

I run JetHot coated inside/outside.
Just for longevity, they are worth it!!!
Under hood temps are lower, and when running for 20-30 MINUTES at full throttle, you worry about underhood temps.

IMOHO, get it, you'll love it.

Thanks

Thanks for the replys. I'm aware of the advantages concerning longevity and appearance . I know those advantages alone are worth the $ and effort involved. What I had hoped was that the inccreased exhaust gas temps retained in the headers (inceased exhaust gas velocity) and the reduced under hood temps as well as the smoother interior surfaces of the header tubing would result in measureable HP increases on the Dyno-Jet.

Jet Hot says 1-3% increase to be expected. I was just wondering if anyone had actually seen those increases after the Jet Hot coating?

Why would it increase power?

Increased heat retention in the headers leads to increased exhaust gas velocities. These increased velocities should improve scavenging of the the combustion chamber helping to pull out the exhaust gases and pack more intake mixture into the chamber, leading to increased cylinder pressures and therefore more power.

The lowered under hood temperatures should lead to lower temperature of the fuel mixture charge with more oxygen in the inducted air and therefore more power.

The smoother interior of the headers should make the exhaust gases flow easier out of the engine requiring less "pumping work" which is parasytic loss from the power that the engine produces.

These are all the theoretical reasons why the Jet Hot coating should increase power from the engine. I just wondered if anyone had actually observed these theoreically possible increases in power after the Jet Hot coating process.
