Just got my '89 GT! Time slip guesses?
Yay! i got the '89 GT i've been talking about for the last month today. really the only go fast parts are the 3.55 gears, 1.72 roller rockers, BBK fuel pump (i guess, doesn't really make it faster), BBK 70mm throttle body and K&N panel filter. The hurst shifter is also something i have to get used to. The car is quite a bit faster than my '84 and it handles quite a bit better as well. it has 115,000 miles on it and the engine is real tight and the rear disc brakes (he got a thunderbird turbo coupe rearend) are incredible! I need to detail it a bit (hasn't been washed or waxed in years, but the paint is fine) and i got it for $1500, he was originally asking $2500.
How fast do you think this thing would go in the the 1/4 mile (this is low elevation washington state with about 60* temperature). I've been wanting a GT mustang for 5 years and i FINALLY GOT ONE! ------------------ '84 Mustang 5.0 LX my LX '89 Mustang GT my GT [This message has been edited by 84stangLX (edited 07-25-2001).] |

Cool, i think low 14 would be about right. Only one way to find out though . Unlike any car i've ever bought, the guy i bought it from threw in EXTRA stuff for free. I just noticed an extra MSD-6A module behind the passanger seat, i got a momo racing seat for free and a cobra style upper intake manifold. Life is good

Thats what I would say, mid to low 14's depending on what kind of traction you get.
