Truck Twin TB intakes
Are the truck intakes any good? How do they compare to (stock to stock) a non-HO intake for a stock '72 302 (or maybe an'85 302). I happened across a complete truck upper and lower intake with all injectors and lines for free. It is only missing the TB, which is easy for me to replace. I also have easy and cheap access to truck computers and wire harnesses. I don't really know much about the Ford EFI, is there a good How To site out there that covers the differances between the trucks, cars, and HO's?
Thanks

Truck intakes are WAY too tall and are designed for low end torque.

THis would Not be for a Mustang. The Torino has a ton of hood clearance.
Also, low end torque is what it needs with a 2.79:1 rearend.

you can modify the truck intake or just use the bottom and get a boxed upper that would be great for high rpm hp.
the 302 truck lower is basically the holley lower. I've modified a couply of 351 into boxed uppers by cutting up the stock upper from a trock manifold

Just for clarification:
All I am looking at doing is converting the 1972 Torino with a BONE STOCK 302 2 bbl carb to BONE STOCK EFI. I currently have the complete truck intake and having measured it, it is no taller than the stock 2 bbl and aircleaner. The car is just a cruiser with stock highway gears. The engine rarely sees 4000rpm's. I also have free access to the complete intake off of a 302 Grand Marquis. I was just looking for comparisons between these two intakes in stock condition. I have parked the car as off last fall pending a full frame off restoration, and am just reasearching EFI options for minimal $$. No high performance parts needed, the Mustang takes care of my drive fast needs. Thanks for the input.
