What's a 'classic'?
20 to 25 years.
Most states will register a car as a 'classic' (antique) after 25 years if it's not used as regular transportation (under 1000 miles a year). Frankly, my '90 Mustang LX is 14 years old and I can't see it as a 'classic' in another year. Ten more, possibly.

I've always heard that at 15 yo it's a classic and 25 yo it's an antique. I've always wondered myself what the real deal is.
