This last Saturday I was finishing the install of my FMS 3.73 gears. I m such an idiot!!! I managed to phuck up the threads on my pinion gear so now I am looking for a tap to fix the threads.
On top of that everything that I had to take off of my car I had to replace.
Rear brake shoes
rear drums
U joints
When I removed the U-joints there were no bearings just black powder

and the rear brake drums had a groove about half an inch deep wore in them.
As soon as I fix the threads on my pinion gear it is easy money from there. All I have left to do is crush the crush sleeve and reassemble the rear.
I am glad that I decided to do the gears cause it was just a matter of time before I would have lost my drive shaft at the track.
and I do not have a safety loop.
I was really trying to get my car to the track last Friday but with work I just didnt have enough time. Now I am shooting for this Friday.
