Well, These Pictures were taken 4 days before the accident. I think it looked pretty good, and wish i just still had the car to drive around.

Nice pics.

That sucks, I had a nice Red 91 GT that got totaled. Pretty crappy feeling.

RdRunnr 09-01-2002 10:11 AM

The car looked nice, but please keep things in perspective. You still have your health and you can get another car. One of our members at Super Stallions of The Net lost control of his 96 Mystic Cobra in the rain last night and lost his life :(

:( :( :( I'm sorry to hear about that man.

I was really down about my brother, but then someone pointed out that he very well could be dead. At least he has a fighting chance.

Shelby428cj 09-01-2002 12:57 PM

Sorry to hear about your car it was a real nice looking Mustang!!

MidNiteBlu 5.0 09-01-2002 01:14 PM

I know what you're feeling. After I sold my 91 GT I missed it sooo much. I still miss it to this day. But at least you have your health :) That Stang won't be your last so cheer up, it will get better :D

jj_jonathon 09-01-2002 03:15 PM

i'm crying about that picture, but at the same time very very glad you managed to live through it....with an accident like that, be ever so happy you still have your life...it was a beautiful car...so you need to replace it with another beautiful car...buy a new cobra ;)

Fox Body 09-01-2002 03:20 PM

Man, BowTie Eater, Very sorry to hear this-- really sucks! Did you post a thread on how this happened? If so, point me to it or just tell me here. You are kinda scaring me b/c I have put a LOT of grueling hours into my car as well and I don't know if I could bare theft or totalling the car right now. Glad you are okay.

TXinPA 09-01-2002 05:32 PM

man, that does look bad, you'd have to put me in the looney bin if it happened to my stang, any of em. glad you're still in one piece!

Shelby428cj 09-01-2002 05:45 PM

OUCH!!!!!!! now that picture made me hurt!! Glad you are okay! I agree with JJ heehee now you can get a 2003 cobra!!! and you can get me one while you're at it!!!;) ;) ;)

See Ya,
Karen

Yeah, I gotta agree that life and health are pretty damn important, but losing a part of you that you poured so much love and soul into, not to mention blood, time and money, makes it difficult to enjoy that life and good health. But hey, at least you have the option.

Nice pics.

Take care,
~Chris

Marty, i met him at the Mod Motor Shootout in June. he was a pretty funny guy. i really didnt get to know him, but i can see what people meant by "always put a smile on your face". just ask Topless about him. she met him too. nice guy.:(

anyways, Bowtie, did i miss your thread on what happened? if not, clue me in. sucks when you put your hard work into something you love and it can go down the schitter in a heartbeat(sorry, no pun intended!).

bro your still alive, that's what count's, im glad you are still around to post this, thank god, i do everyday, because when i wrecked i dont rember much, except my car eating the gaurdrail , then a cop in my face asking if i was drunk? i was on the way to work, the wrecker guy told me, i dont know how your car didnt roll over, i dont know either. glad your with us bro.:)

RAGE_5.0 09-02-2002 03:36 PM

Man i'm glad to here that your allright. I also have what seems to be a cursed car for me. I like the car and have a **** load of money into it from a screw up i made just before christmas. live and learn though right. Its wierd. I am a really sane driver and don't take any stupid chances but I always seem to get into wrecks.

Did you buy it back from the insurance company? might be able to part it out and make some of the money back. maybe keep the engine, tranny and rearend and put it into a ranger?

Don't let it keep you down. I was in depressed state for a few weeks after i wrecked mine.
I know you were always so proud of your car. It was a nice car and I'm sorry to hear about its untimely demise. Go test drive an 02gt and do a remeberance burnout.

well, im glad that we are all alive, especially my friends, because i dont know how i would live with myself if any of them didnt make it..

i am having a hard time deciding what to do, i could go out and buy another fox, or wait until im 19 and working full time, when i will have more than eanough money to afford a NEW mustang. or buy an old 67-68, and drop a big block in it.

all i know is that there will be another mustang in my future, i dont know when, but there will be.

Crazy Horse GT 09-02-2002 06:32 PM

at least your alive, that's the main thing, jeez after seeing your car, i just thought mine was bad , though it took me over 2 months to get it back, good luck on whatever stang you get, l8ter. marty:(

dude I am trying to make the decision right now. I want a new gt and can afford one right now even though I'm in highschool but i run into the same problem I have right now. It won't be fast enough. Right now I am at the point where my car isn't as fun as it was because it no longer seems fast. I even grew tired of powerbrakeing the car. I can't bring myself to choose between a 99-02 gt with mods and nice rims or my pretty much stock 5.0.

If I do decide to keep my car which I am leaning towards now it will be a hell of a lot faster then when it went into storage=)

Take your time deciding what you want to do and don't rush into anything because you want another mustang.

You didn't answer my question of whether you got the engine and drieline out of it but what about a 4cyl lx and put all of the gt's parts in it that are salvageable?

I agree...if you look at it that way, EVERYTHING'S not as bad as death...but it doesn't make it HURT any less, you know? :( Not many people put their heart into ANYTHING anymore, and to see someone's work down the toilet, well I gotta say...that's pretty damn sad to me.

I like the other pictures better.:( Hope things get better from now on for you.

As stupid as this sounds, losing a car you've put time/money into is almost like losing a child. You develop a bond with it and when it's gone, you feel that break and loss....
