Let me know what u think guys, kinda long

HI guys, how was everyones weekend, I have a question for you guys, I have a friend of mine with a 98 Ws6 TA that talks alot of crap, hes always bragging about his car and telling me my car is a pos. He runs low 13s all day with longtube headers and stock T56 and 3.42 gears, and he tells me I would never be able to beat him with a modified 5.0, I mean he is a diehard GM guy, I could beat him with my LT1 Camaro I had, but it wasnt a challenge anymore, so I decided to make the change to the Mustang because he despises them and I love getting on his bad side, its fun to see the veins pop out of his forehead haha, Well here is my question, I'm thinking of going with the EFI Edelbrock Victor 5.0 head and intake, with a 3000-7500 Rpm range cam, I understand this is a full race setup and might be hard to drive on the street, but in my peticular area I dont have emissions, and I'm thinking I would not only beat him with a 347 with the Victor 5.0 parts, but I want to humiliate him, do u guys have any suggestions with this combo, like I said I want to knock this guy off his GM podeium and make him look bad at the same time, lol in fact i think if i would beat him he would sell the car. Would u think i'd stomp him with the Victor 347, tremec and 3:73s, I have everything else but the motor now....

Anyones reply would be great, I know there are a few of u guys that have buddies that think they are better cuz they have a Gm in the driveway

A properly built 347 Mustang can be pretty darn fast.

My only thought is on your cam selection. I wouldn't go with a 3000-7500 cam because a roller-lifter motor wont be seeing 7500 rpms. You would be better off keeping the rpms down to a maximum of 6500 or so. Also, with your combo, you may want to have a cam custom ground for your application.

Good luck with the build-up.
