coupe = LX?
a 1988 Mustang Coupe would be an LX right? not a GT?

GT's were all hatchbacks or convertibles. However, the LX could be had as a coupe, a hatchback or a convertible, with a 4 cyl or the 5.0.

Orange97GTVert is right. Also the coupe is sometimes called a notchback, sedan, or my least favorite a "trunk" model

Yeah, but those trunk models can make some badass sleepers, everybody expects them to be running a 4 cylinder. My friend even has an ESCORT badge on the back of his. It was the ultimate sleeper, till he had to go to bigger rear tires for traction and a roll cage......
