Yeh South of the border is Mexico to you guys, but to us, it's you Yankees but when I say south of the border I usually reffer to Mexico aswell. :D I actually like KM's better, but probably cause I'm used to it. :D Your money is just worth more, I like the actual look of our bills better, ours are different colours so they are very distictive.

We have different colored money too. It comes in the MONOPOLY game and last I heard, was an even swap for $CDN.

Suppose you only want to drink half a bag? Do they come in zip-locks?

Actually, a gallon of milk seems kinda silly, too, considering it's impossible for one person to drink a gallon of milk in one sitting, but at least our gallons are resealable.

BTW, milk is bad for human adults. Your body actually sees it as a poison.

Take care,
ÅChris

What ? ... What diet book guru did that come from ?
Maybe poison if the dairy is feeding the cows poison ?

I've never heard a doctor say milk was good for adults. In fact, quite the opposite. It's the dairy council that wants you to believe otherwise.

If you don't believe me, try drinking a gallon of milk in one sitting. Just make sure you're close to the bathroom. Your body knows better, and will cause you to puke it back up.

If we were supposed to drink milk as adults, we wouldn't have to get it from another kind of animal. Think about it.

Take care,
ÅChris

milk is always good for you...even with lumps

...and beer has worse effects on adults than milk ever could :P...unless youre lactose intollerant which is a mere technicality :P

my girlfriend's mom doesnt believe in drinking lots of milk beyond the breast feeding stage...and her and her siblings are all fragile...her sister has broken both her arms and shes only 9, they all get broken bones easily....meanwhile, my mom has been feeding my brothers and i milk with dinner and other stuff daily since we were little...we used to go through a full gallon a day as a family...none of us have broken a bone, ever. and trust me, we do enough to get them broken...lol...so lots of milk does make you stronger :)

Sorry Chris i gotta agree with JJ on this one ... my family drinks more milk than the law allows ... always has .. i was a maniac when i was younger ... my son played 11 years of full contact football ... there has never been a broken bone in my family on either side as far back as i can remember, my dad is almost 86 and he is as i write this likely out tossing hay bales around.
As for the drinking a gallon thing, i don't think i could drink a gallon of anything without puking

Calcium is excellent for you, but cow's milk isn't the best way to get it.

Hell, I still drink milk sometimes, but I know that it's not healthy. I drink alcohol, too.

Here's a few links for you to check out.

The First One has good info, and includes info from The New England Journal of Medicine, as well as several prominent doctors, including Frank Oski, M.D., author of Don't Drink Your Milk! . He is the Director of the Department of Pediatrics of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Physician-in-Chief of the Johns Hopkins Children's Center. He is also the author, co-author, editor or co-editor of 19 medical textbooks and has written 290 medical manuscripts. BUT, the website it is on is a religious one, and I'm not particularly religious, so I only offer it as a source of collected information, not the informations original source.

The second one is from the book Whole Health, by Joseph Keon.

This site has tons of links for more info, but it might be more info than you want.

This Last One is from a fitness website, and lists tons of references for you.

Take care,
ÅChris

basically what Chris is trying to say, is you dont see kittens go and suck on a dogs females tits.:D

also, milk doesnt make "stronger bones". its the vitamin D added since thier is not enough Vitamin D(actually Vitamin D3 or Vitamin D2 which is synthetic and doesnt do squat) in it to produce "healthy bones". actually a little bit of sunlight to the human skin produces this vitamin D3. that is where we actually get it in humans and other animals, but just isnt enough if your not in the sunlight that much. Vitamin D actually helps the body absorb calcium so we can get "stronger bones".

it was probably because you were out in the sunlight alot, not inside playing video games like the kids today.

Why is "milk-in-a-bag" better then milk in a jug? Isn't it just a pain in the azz to cut the bag then have an open container in the fridge?

rbatson2 11-04-2002 10:52 PM

Well, seeing as most people don't recycle, maybe it cuts down on the waste and cost. Canada is very nature oriented from what I've seen.

I never was real big on milk but I do however have the 'occasional' beer to supplement my daily allowance of wheat and barley. I also only smoke 'light' cigarettes, I'm somewhat of a health nut.
