Default Monster Machines

Hey any of you guys watch that show monster machines on tlc? I watched it last night and they had some bad*ss stuff on there. There was a segment on monster trucks, and they showed bigfoot jumping a 727 by hitting a ramp at 70mph! crazy! Then they showed a terrain leveler? i think it was called, that tears the heIl out of asphault, concrete or whatever. It is powered by a 15.2 liter inline 6! The pistons must be the size of 5-gallon buckets! ok well maybe not that big but you get the point. The last one Ill tell about was this thing called a spade that yanks trees up to 18in. in diameter right ot of the ground. Way cool! Anyone else catch it? - John

It is not uncommon in Contruction or Mining Equipment to have machine with 1000, 2000, 3000, or 4000 HP. For example the Caterpillar 797 has a 24 cylinder diesel engine with more than 3400 HP!

The Caterpillar 797 has a payload of 400 tons! It is the largest rear dump, ridgid frame truck in the world. It is also mechanical drive (most trucks of this size are electric drive).

It has 2 3512 disel engines coupled together to make the 3524 Diesel engine, a 24 cylinder, 3400 HP electonic engine.

Even it is not the biggest mining machine. The Marion dragline, is the size of a small building. It's bucket is 110 cubic yard and bigger! You could park 4 mustangs in the bucket and still open the doors!!
