orange monster
Got a question for everyone. A friend of a friend is selling his 92'LX hatchback. I was in the shop the day the,as everyone called it that day,"orange monster" was put on the dyno. They tested it twice, the first run produced 609 horses, the second run produced 621 horses. I thought some of those people in the shop were going to shite seeing the horses that car was putting out. Under the hood was a bored and stroked 347 with twin superchargers and an aftercooler. They had to keep putting ice in the aftercooler before each test. The car was so loud, some people were watching the tests from outside. The owner is selling the car for about 10,500, my question is that price, too high/too low/just right for that much car? One other note, the car's owner said he ran the car at Rockingham's dragway, and had consist runs in the mid to low 10's. He had the print out the dragway gave him to back up his claims. His best run, according to the print out,was 9.86 sec. Any responses would of great help. Later.

How's the body? As long as it doesn't look like a horrible heap, then It's a great deal. many pay 4500-6000 for a stock mustang then over $6,000 just to get it in the tens. I think it's a deal, a Lamborghini goes for 20X the price of the car you want to buy!

Twin superchargers? I know I'm old but has anyone else seen one of these lately? (Tommy Ivo notwithstanding)
