hehehe.. no need for a stroker. check out ls1.com. two stock shortblock cars into the 10s, both doing 122+mph. (one is close to 124mph) they are around 3400lb cars racing at sealevel. hydraulic cams, and yes very streetable.

the problem is we haven't seen any times for a built 330ci motor. i don't know of anyone doing that swap. shouldn't have much trouble hitting 450rwhp if built correctly.

I saw the times. They are good. I saw the mph. I'm not impressed to say the least. 100mph in the 1/4? Big Deal.

A 5.0 coupe with only a few bolt-ons could hit 100mph in the 1/4 easily. A heads/cam/intake coupe usually hits 108-112mph.

The bullitt is a nice car but it is far short on power, based on those mph numbers, to be called a real "bullet".

Like I said, I can't wait to see what an '01 Cobra w/ gears and exhaust will do!!

Red-

I know the MPH wasn't that impressive...

BUT, tack a few bolt ons to this...then what

The fact is people don't buy cars JUST for performance.

Im buying a 2001 GT, not JUST cause it is a fast car...and I know there are faster ones out there...

If everyone wanted a 10 yearold used fox they'd buy those! God knows they are cheap enough.

NarayanM -- good point. From what I have read about the 99+ GTs, they seem to respond as-well-or-better than the old 5.0s.

It will be interesting to see what happens with these cars as far as performance goes.

All you guys are talking about how they should keep the 4.6's for mod manufactures but from my understanding the 96-98 mods won't work on the 99+ mods and vice versa?
