302 and S/C out... 351 in. Parts 4 sale too.
Well I'm selling the blower, and I'm buying an 11:1 Comp 351 short block. Any one have any suggestions on the swap. Ive read the article on here and Im using all those parts that are needed. I'm going to do it in my garage.
I will be selling my 1 5/8 Shortys and my Edelbrock performer intake as well as my distributor, and my Short block which has 37k miles with an E-303 cam and forged pistons. I figure a month or so for the whole project to go down. Just my two cents. Keep the blower and get a lower comp 351. Theres nothing like a blown 351..... The swap is easy, I did the whole swap in about three days.

Yeah, the blower is for sale on Ebay. Fastang, email me and Im sure we can work something out on the otherstuff that you want. Since were close and all it won't be a problem.
yes, Im going to use the box stock heads. I mean a 351 makes 350hp with just stock gt40's and my TFS flow much better than those. The cam Im going to use is 292/512 Skyler ------------------ -1989 Saleen Mustang #406- TFS Heads, Edelbrock intake, E-303, 3.73's, 1 5/8 shortys, Offroad-H, 2chamber flows, 36psi FPR, 15degrees timing, 70mm tb, 73mm maf, 24lb inj, Crank pulley, MSD6A, Alum driveshaft. OK 89cp... I may goto 30's. We'll see.
Im figuring I should make 400-410hp on this combo. Seeing I have about 330 right now. About 35hp increase for the 2pt of compression and 50hp increase for the more cubes so that should put me around 410. curious sky what made you decide to go with a 351 over say a 3.4" crank in your current block? strength? that 351 is a good bit heavier you know. you would be able to put the money into getting the heads worked over or something like that.

those TFS heads are plenty for the 351. Dont know why somebody said something about 6037's (edelbrocks) but they also would support a mildly built 351.
Anyway, whats up? Last time I saw a post from you, you were happy with buying a blower. Now your swapping motors. What happened? ------------------ 1993 GT/AOD '93 Mustang GT |

while we're on the subject, what are the right heads for skys combo? I'm building a similar 351 for my car now and im looking into tfs-r canfields or afr. Of the three, the tfs-r are only 900 canfields 1000 and afr 1300. I'm even considering the high ports, i.e. new track heats. I can't find the specs on any of them.

The blower is sitting un opened, but I made some money selling it on Ebay. I figured a N/A setup would be better, and there was going to be quite a few parts to add to the blower to make it work right which would cost a lot, plus the paxton reliability was a concern, so I got rid of it for now.
