Mustang Racer... finally
It's the simple things in life... and I am overjoyed to have attained such a title as 'Mustang Racer' after a long year of testing and tuning, with a couple bracket races here recently, I have become just that. Okay, so I'm not setting the world of drag racing on fire... but I have learned more about my car (nitrous and suspension tuning) and hope to be able to continue doing so... I'd like to get involved in one of the heads-up classes in the future, as bracket racing is fun.... but heads-up drag racing is just so much more exciting! (and expensive for my budget)...
Anyhow, thanks to those who have helped me to become a 'Mustang Racer'.... I may not be the smartest guy on this site, but I have accomplished some personal feats along the way with the help of this site, among others.... At the beginning of the year I was running 11.60-11.70's on the motor, started in with the 100 shot and went 10.90's.... on the 150 I went 10.50's.... stepped up to the 200 shot and went 10.30's.... and now that the cool air is upon us, the car goes 10.20's I didn't think I would've gotten that far into the tens at the start of the season.... and it ain't over yet! I'm looking at getting some 10.1's before it's all over with. I can taste 9's ...the stock block is what's stopping me from putting the 250hp jets to it. Oh well, there's always next year, right? I've had an R302 block sitting in the corner of my garage, unmoved, for the past two years and it's gettin to be about that time.... to be continued! Thanks, everyone, for making this site the entertaining and informative place that it is today!!! |
