Default ordered my new motor

Hello everyone,i havent been on lately, cause i had to take care of the arrangements for my dad,he passed away on july 7th and i had to go to new york and take care of all his business,it was hard for all my family, but at least now my dad is resting, and is at peace.Im gonna miss him hugely, and all his input on the routes that i can go with my 92 lx,but dad did the right thing, and he left me a pile of money to get my ride back, and thats just what im gonna do!Ive already ordered my motor from downs ford motorsports, and i should have it in about 8 weeks!!!Its gonna be a 347ford racingshort block, with 9 to 1 compression,e-303 cam,SVOdouble rollertiming chain,gt40-x heads, with stage 2 port work,SVO roller lifters, hardened push rods,1.60roller rockers,gt-40 upper, and lower,30 lbs/hr injecters...etc....cant wait to get it all back together...at least thanks to my dad i dont have to wait till after i get married, dont get me wrong,i would trade all the money, and even my ride, just to have my dad back alive, but i know he is with me,and he is gonna be smiling when i drop that new motor in and get her running again.Anyway ill keep posting my progress as it comes along!

Your dad will be looking down and smiling for ya saying that's my boy. Building your car in his honor is a wonderful thing to hear. Sorry to hear about your loss.

Sorry to hear about your dad bud.... the car sounds pretty sweet. Couldn't agree with you more about cars being good therapy. He'll be with you in spirit down the track man.....

Take it easy, and I'm looking forward to pics!
