The key is to take your time. I've driven my car through 3 winters and have not gotten stuck (unless you want to count the one time I was plowed in due to the snow removal people). I use 245/60/15 Cooper Cobras in the winter and they work fairly well. I don't add any weight to the trunk either. I do have my battery in there, but that is for racing purposes. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/wink.gif

As you can see, my original post sums it up.

If you've never had Blizzaks on your car, you really can't comprehend them. A Mustang with Blizzaks will do just fine, if not damn good.

Put Blizzaks on your car and forget your worries. They are worth every last dollar for piece of mind. Tire Rack sells them for about $80 a piece. Make sure you put them on all 4 wheels. They make a DRASTIC difference, even over M+S, and some other snow tires. Expect to get 2 good years out of a set of Blizzaks before the multi cell compound wears out. Don't put them on until it begins to snow, and take them off when the snow should be over. Just don't beat on them, they'll last you a couple years.

Narrower tires do better btw. The wider you go, the worse off you'll be on snow and ice covered roads.
