Just wanted to make a quick post to clear up some confusion...

The avatar I recently posted was certainly NOT of me. I do not look like her, nor do I post pics of cleavage like that...the shot was of Jenna Jameson, and I thought it was a nice pic since I find her very pretty (when she's actually dressed ;)) and I thought the race car outfit was cute!

The reason I'm posting this is because I'm sick of getting PMs asking if "my" boobs are real, or messages telling me how lucky my fiance is (funny I didn't get these when my avatar was of my car:rolleyes: ). I had NO idea anyone would actually think that was ME, for pete's sake! Now I know to choose my avatars more carefully ;) Just wanted to straighten everyone out, and please, no more PMs about this crap.

Yes he is, and not because your beatuiful (you are ya know) but because of the car and that you work hard for everythign you have. Granted looking like Jenna Jameson would be a definant plus but its not necessasary.

since when is it degrating to pose next to your car and take a picture? all i said was "cute" little outfit", not sluttly, or cheap outfit! its her descretion of what she thinks is appropriate for her to wear!

not really, i was actually adding to what you said by applauding her for not being the type to copy her former avatar, so at the same time you misunderstood my post. but it's all good, i apologise for the confusion.

Wasn't there a thread recently memorializing Jameson (sp?) ? I have no idea, and I have to say that I find it really funny (in a sad way) that people would actually herass you because of that. Maybe I'll put something like that out there this fall as a psych experiment. See how dense people are.

I say bring the car pic back, that is one of the best SN cars I've seen. I'm considering the spoiler delete option for my 'Stang, but I don't know what the '04s are even going to look like yet. If they look as good as your car, I'll be happy.

I think it was a good idea to put the pic of you and Matt in the Members Pic thread. If it was just you, I'd bet there would have been an influx of PM's (albiet cleaner) at about the same rate. You're way better looking than she was.

A board that's populated by 90% (young) men and you're really surprised - and annoyed - that a few of them either believed the photo was you or pretended to think it was and made some suggestive remarks about it?

I've seen some borderline offensive stuff as avatars that we've let pass but a photo of a 'hot babe' as an avatar for a female MW member just invites suggestive remarks from easily excitable guys. Is this news to you? C'mon!

We monitor the forums pretty well and don't allow offensive material to stay up but when you post that kind of photo on a site that has hundreds of visitors every day that have no clue who 'Mustangbelle306' really is, you have to expect some leering feedback from a few misguided people. It's still the internet.

I trust you're able to deal with those that really offended you and the moderators, Dan or myself are able to follow up for you if and when necessary, as you know.

I would advise you and anyone else to whom it may concern that you think about what you place up on the site as an avatar and remember that many of the newbies and visitors won't know anything about you and so that avatar becomes 'you' for some of them.

Actually, yes...I was really surprised that I did elicit that type of response, considering that you and I both know that MW is a MUCH more courteous site than 90% of the messageboards, especially those dealing with cars.

Also, the PMs I recieved were NOT from regular members, so that's why I posted this thread, to clarify...And you are correct, I should have noticed that recently there seems to have been an influx of new members that would not be familiar with my feisty self...I guess it didn't cross my mind until now :cool:

Nah, no one really offended me, I wouldn't even really say annoyed, it was more surprising than anything! :) Thanks for the offer though, I appreciate the protection :D I will most certainly never post anything like that again, the whole idea was brought on by Pokey's avatar of the Hooters buddy icon...hey I never said my sense of humor was that sharp!! :D :rolleyes:

Yeah, posing in a cute little dress or skirt is a fine idea by me, I just feel that when you throw on a bikini and stand next to your car, it kinda conveys the "I'm-just-a-model-and-don't-know-a-con rod-from-my-gas-cap" look. Not only that, pics of my car are exactly that!! I don't wanna steal the limelight from my lil 5.0 :D

I know, right??? :D I just didn't think I'd get that kinda feedback...I should have known better though, I've always been the type of woman that believes there is INDEED such thing as "asking for it".

Nah, I think that pic is from a site I linked to from Ebay...I just really liked the cute little bird...check out his adorable lil' birdy footys! :D

Mr 5.0 is right. If people don't know you, they'll think your avatar is you. Belle: I've been around long enough to know who you are. Allthough your equally as attractive, I know that you're spoken for and don't live near me, so i don't have any ulterior motives when I talk to you...but...if I were new to the boards and saw a pic of a pretty Mustang chic that lived near me, I won't lie, I'd be trying to find out more about her (be on her like a vulture on roadkill.......I've been single for a while :D..j/k )

When the certain person I was talking about first started posting ,my first reaction was check out the pretty girl local to my area ....wow! I gotta find out who she is ......then I read her posts and discovered it was a dude...yikes .....:eek:

Hey man, at least you KNOW my freakin name. Most of the little dorks PM'ing her didn't even know I exist. Of course, Elisa, being the niave and gentle kinded perseon she is didn't even know that when a male says, "Your man is lucky"......He's NOT EVEN giving you a compliment. Half the time it's their "inventive and creative" way of finding out if you even HAVE a man.

They secretely hope she'll say, "No, actually I'm single. AND I'm extremely attracted to guys who have a crappy job, hit on me after seeing a picture of me not even knowing who I am, and wanna get into my pants because I'm into cars...."

Anyway, I know I'm lucky. Not for the reasons most of you think though. Ever since I was a small kid, I've been "all about cars". I talked about them all day and even in my SLEEP. Well, every woman I ever dated used to say, "Shut, up, shut up." Elisa actually encourages me to talk all I want about cars........but don't get the wrong idea. I cook for her 90% of the time, I can iron, I clean the house, and I wash her laundry on top of getting greasy under her stang and moving furniture around...:p

LOL, that's some funny stuff man. Some people are so tactless that it makes me wonder how they don't get their butt kicked everyday. I think srv1 wants to know if she has a sister. That's my favorite follow up to a good lookin' girl being taken. ya know?

Anyway, an old friend of mine tells me that he is good friends with Steve's kid. Apparently she is about two years younger than I, and is kind of into the family buisness. I'll believe it when I meet her, and see the car. Then I'd be the envy of everybody on this board.:D :D

I just said I liked the avatar, no matter the relationship to the member, poster.

Just look at srv1's avatars. They change daily, don't they? Personally, I'm not even sure if he's a white or black guy, but I don't care.

Let's just look at people for what they actually post. (avatars like Belle's are appreciated by me though).

SRV1: That wasn't directed toward you. I know you, and so does ELisa. Nothing ws taken the wrong way. She got SEVERAL Pm's about this. Most of them were from losers that just joined the site and are basically scanning it for anything that grabs their attention.

Mmkay...I liked attention that was being given to a picture that wasn't even of ME...sure. :rolleyes:

The avatar was only up for a few days, and I've been posting much less then I usually do, hence the pulling not being immediate. I also felt that the first PM was a newbie fluke, however on the recieving of several more, that's when I pulled it. I'd appreciate it if you didn't try to assume my feelings on the matter, thanks! :)

As for Matt's feelings, I think we both found it more humorous than anything, really. Kinda like people laugh at corny pick up lines, hence the "LOL" at the end of the post... As for stealage, its totally impossible, so that's never been a worry :)

Well there seemed to be alittle tension going on earlier in this post but that seems over and done with. I think I may of comented on what of my posts about the pick, but I was just being the jerka** I normally am. lol Please take no offence.
Anywho I seemed to have done some extensive research on this Ms. Jameson and she seems to be quite the actress, and I heard she does her own stunts which impressed me quite abit. I suggest more of you all take 5 minutes out of your Mustangworks time and check it out. lol :D Like mentioned by the older folks (or married) who've somewhat matured, this site is full of mostly young guys, it's bound to happen. I'm just curious if I put that pic up if they would of thought that was me.
