Default My car is going to the doctor today.

I am finally going to give up and take her to the doctor today. She hasn't been running good since the alt caught fire, and I haven't been able to find what ever the problem yet. So we will see.

Has it been acting like mechanical problems? Or electrical....

How'd the alternator start on fire?

It has been acting like it want's to die at idle, and the rpm's range from 400-1300 at idle jumping around the whole time. It's like it is trying to keep going. And my volts are up and down.
