Talking My Dads thinking about getting a Mustang Now!

When my dad was down from PA visiting, I got my Flow Masters put on. He wanted to hear them, so we went out Saturday ( this was a few weeks ago ) to a few stores and stuff. He liked the way it sounded. I was surprised to hear him say that, hes not really into muscle cars or going fast.

He asked if putting Flowmasters on his GTP would make it sound like my car. I told him no, Then he asked what he would have to do to his car to make it as fast as mine. I joked with him and told him Selling it and Buying a Cobra. I tried to teach him how to drive a stick.

Well he called me today and said he looked at a few Mustangs. He asked me about the Bullit, and what was diffrent between it and the GT and Cobra. I was really surprised.

He actually is thinking about getting a Mustang now. He has his eye on the new Cobras. He went and looked at Roush's also. He said he was going to get a Roush Stage two and whoop my butt. I got him informed on the Roush Stage Two, the sales man lied to him and Told him the Stage twos are faster than Cobras.

Anyway, he seems excited about it, after we talked for a while he said he couldnt make his mind between the Bullit and the Cobra. Hes going back Saturday to look at them both again, and see if he could do some haggiling. He's good at that, almost to the point of embarresement. I might be borrowing dads car again when he comes down to visit.

What do you have done to your stang? If just the flows, he is a pulley, exhaust, and chip away from being faster than your car.

I tried encouraging him to modify his GTP awhile back. Its a quick car, and could be quicker. I think it would be awesome if they put a 5 spd manual behind it.

As for the power gained though, I raced a GTP with Ram Air in my 2000 GT, he definetly had exhaust, as to what else other than a butt load of stickers, I couldnt tell you. He lost.

Hey inferno, what kind a boost does the GTP run, I figure around 6 psi.

Thumbs up

Hey Merc!
That's too cool!!! Gee, what a decision..a Bullit or a Cobra??? Personally, I'd rather have a Cobra, but either would be great!! Bet thats neat to "teach" your dad about Mustangs....Keep us informed on what he decides!!!! Topless
