Hey we do know what clean air is its in the mountains around here But the haze that you see is common for So-Cal. It is like that in the morning and by 11ish the sun burns it off and it is clear outside. San Diego has some smog but its not bad at all.
Again it sounds like you guys had an awesome time. Always good to show new people how sweet California is I have lived here my whole life except for 3 years in Fairfax, Virginia and dont regret any of it. Later, Nick

If we Texans don't know what "smog" is, we can always count on those "F"ing feds to tell us, ain't that so?

What is sad, is that smog in L.A. is partly natural. There were reports of it being there by the first settlers. Still, several million people living there doesn't help! When I first moved to California in 1978, I lived in Van Nuys, in the heart of the San Fernando Valley. Because of the mountains that surround it, it just holds the smog in place. For 8 months out of the year, it's so bad down there that you can't even see the mountians that surround it. What is really sad is that when you live there, you just get used to it. You don't even notice it until you are coming back into it from somewhere else. When I lived there, I spent 8 years working as a summer camp counsler up in Big Bear, and the first day or two you were up there, it actually hurt to breath! The clean air felt like a knife in your lungs. That did suck. It's alot better down there now then it was when I lived there, but it still sucks. I avoid the Valley at all costs, when possible! Take care, -Chris

My last picture entry into Christines California Photo Album
This is the last of my pics from last weekend that I am being allowed to post. It's a picture of Christine inside the car. It is very tight and restrained in there! You can't even see the front tires when you're strapped in!
Christine- Just wanted to once again thank you for the best weekend of my life (so far). It was filled with memories and experiences that will be very difficult to ever equal. Much love, -Chris
