Mystic Cobra

I am thinking about buying a 96 mystic cobra this weekend and just wonder if any of you knew somethings about them? It is a 30,000 mile car that is in really good shape and the guy wants 13K. Only mods are 4:10 gears and a CAI. I have always wanted one of these cars. Just worried about if something happens to it. Like if it gets hit and has to be repainted? Is it going to be a real pain in the? The repainting of the car is my main concern. I am not planing to add anything to the car just take it to car shows and show it off so the paint has to be good.

Glad you got it. A friend who owns a Ford dealership told me that Ford intentionally made the paint hard to obtain. When a shop requested a paint "authorization", Ford demanded proof of the damage to be repaired and then would only let them have the exact amount of paint that they thought was needed. He told me that some years ago when the paint was first offered. Maybe easier to get now.
