Default Name this car

Ok guys, here is the deal. Jester just got a new car and now he is naming it. Made me realize that after owning my car for 10 years I have never found a good name for it.

So feel free to give me some ideas, other then the ole "white lightning". I have provided some pictures here, although I am sorry for the one with the girl, just so happens I like the picture and she happens to be in it also.

Thanks for any and all,
Ryan

Hey baby... Oh sorry.

How about Ryan's "Opposite of Black Fast Back That Attracts Hottie Girls on the Hood"

...just a suggestion.

If not then Sarah, Charlotte, Lyndsay, Kristy or Zoey. I'm partial to girls' names.

My friends and I have named all three of the mustangs I've owned after ebonic phrases or sumthin' else:

83 GLX Conv.= "G-Ride" (R.I.P.)
86 GT Conv. = "Pimp Stang" (R.I.P.)
89 GT = "Ghetto Cruiser" (officially) a.k.a. "Purple Dinosaur" a.k.a. "Bondo Stang"

Or what about variations... like Pimp Cruiser or Ghetto Ride?

I shouldn't of quit drinking on the weekdays... I'm a lunatic when I'm sober.

I have always wanted to name it Christine since a girlfriend from a while ago. Stupid girl said something bad about fords as she got it the thing, darn car blue the module out of the dizzy at that moment. Whole ordeal was kind of weird. After wrecking it late one night and thinking I totaled it, only to have it look as good as it does now, I really wanted to call it Christine. But the car is not red, nor does it even remotely resemble that car.

I think I have a creative block when it comes to my car. The Jester had the "bad apple", which was neat as heck. Now he has some really good ideas for a bad A#$ old ford, I want a cool name too!!

No, the car was not white that year, looked like someone took a leak in the paint bucket then painted the cars. So I figured since nothing was really gonna stay original, why not paint it as white as I can?

Some of those cracked me up...lol "snow ball"

I call mine "My little pony." I started calling it that, then found out that there were little girl toys named that, which was kinda funny so it stuck. I think most names just happen on accident. Good luck with the name thing!

name it christine if you like. its the spirit of the car, not particularly the make and model of the car. we race dirt late models with a guy back home with a monte carlo general lee. the spirit inside makes the car.

if not, how about the NightMare?

OK I really have to start paying attention to this forum. Never realized this was here, started the same thing over in Windsor power (which is the WRONG spot, by the way)

Anyways, I've found that most of my cars get 2 names. A "girl" name, which is her real name, and the racing and/or nickname. "The Bad Apple" was really named Ellie. I've also found that you can pick the "nickname" but it's best to let HER pick her own name. Like mentioned before, it's in the spirit of the car. You already have Christine in the back of your mind, but it's not red etc etc. That don't matter, if she likes that name, so be it. OR, how about Christina, Chrissy,

OMG!!!! Talk about a brain storm! This just hit me like a bolt of Lightning!

"Christmas Snow" and you can call her Chrissy!!! EIther that, or put about 800 HP worth of nitrous on her, and it'd be "Snow Storm", but I'd still call her Chrissy.

Jester,
I saw where u had started ur thread on another board. Made me realize that I did not have an official name for the girl that has remained in my life for longer then anyone else....except for family of course.

So, she definitely is possessed, so Christine sounds like it should stay with the car. May not be red, may not have fins, but she definitely has an attitude.

Her second name should I ever put the nitrous to it, may lean towards the snow storm. Thanks for given ur thoughts guys.

How about "Blueskin" ?

http://www.ushistory.org/valleyforge/youasked/024.htm
Q.Do you know the name of George Washington's horse at Valley Forge?
at different times, Roger Leo and Ellen Edenberg

A.Washington had several horses throughout the war. Two of these were named "Nelson" and "Blueskin." They served Washington pretty much throughout the War. I am not aware of any records that were kept specifying what horse he used on what day and at what battle. I do not have any specifics on the lives of the horses. You might try looking at the Mount Vernon website and checking out their Animals page from Washington's farm.

George Washington refers to some horses in his writings...these are some interesting excerpts from letters written in 1777 and 1778:

To Lord Stirling
Valley Forge, December 30, 1777.
My Lord: The bearer presents the horse to you which I offered in exchange for your black. In the summer when I first got him, he had the appearance of a fine, and handsome horse; at present (by neglect of Bethlehem) his appearance is altered. He was purchased for me by Col. Moylan as a horse of Six yrs old, and I believe him to be sound, knowing nothing to the contrary. He goes rough equal I believe to your black, and has no bad qualities that I know of; however, as I have no opportunity of sending the black to my home at present, your Lordship may try the other, and judge from the experiment of eligibility of the swap. In the mean time yours may, or may not, as you choose it, stand in my stable; as I design him for no other purpose than a stud horse for the use of my Mares in Virg'a. I am, etc.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To Brigadier General Thomas Nelson
Camp at the White-plains, August 20, 1778
My dear Sir: In what terms can I sufficiently thank you for your polite attention to me, and agreeable present? and, which is still more to the purpose, with what propriety can I deprive you of a valuable, and favourite Horse? You have pressed me once, nay twice, to accept him as a gift; as a proof of my sincere attachment to, and friendship for you, I obey, with this assurance, that from none but a Gentn. For whom I have the highest regard, would I do this, notwithstanding the distressed situation I have been for want of one.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mr. John Hunter, an English visitor to Mt. Vernon in 1785, in a letter to a friend makes the following reference to the horses:

"When dinner was over, we visited the General's stables, saw his magnificent horses, among them "Old Nelson," now twenty-two years of age, that carried the General almost always during the war. "Blueskin," another fine old horse, next to him, had that honor. They had heard the roaring of many a cannon in their time. "Blueskin" was not the favorite on account of his not standing fire so well as venerable "Old Nelson." The General makes no manner of use of them now. He keeps them in a nice stable, where they feed away at their ease for their past services.'"

I do my best thinking when I'm laying in bed at night, before I go to sleep, and I came up with "Ghost rider". How's that sound!!??
I think it's cool.

I have always been partial to "Bob". Fits with anything:

When getting yelled at in the work place...
"It wasn't me! Some guy named Bob from HR did it!"

When having your wife check for Boogers in your nose in public...
"Honey, is Bob here today?"

When someone invites there self over your house...
"I'd love to have you but Bob is staying in the guest room tonight."

When you get pulled over by a cop for speeding...
"My Uncle Bob is dying! I have to get to the hospital!"

When your wife won't do something in bed...
"Bob says his wife loves it!"

When you want something for the car...
"Bob's wife bought him a set and she can use it too- you know how to work underdrive pulleys don't you?"

Just a thought... back to programming I guess.

PS: Dick, Jane and John work well too
