Need help asap!!!!!!
I know this should be in another forum, but..... The led display on my mothers 2000 Mercury Mountaineer quit working. The radio still plays but no display. My dad chedked the fuse that goes to the electronic blah blah blah for the radio and it is fine. If anyone has any suggestions, please throw them out. He just had heart surgery and he is the type to jack with it until he fixes it, when he really needs to be on the couch chillin. Please help asap if you can.
Thanks, Caymon |
I'd check if it is warrenty work..I know the display on the van radio is starting to go. You can still read the time but it's abit hard to read the left side of it. I just say **** it, I don't feel like wasting a day trying to fix it. It's leased and goes back this summer, + that is the least of the vehicles worries. lol
Hope your dad is okay aswell... heart surgery is not cool.... §am |
He's cool. Thanks. They just started letting him drive yesterday. He still can't work unless it is office work. He just doesn't need to be worrying about the truck and trying too hard to fix it. If it was a fuse, fine replace it, but that's about the only thing he needs to do.

Check the warranty. If it's up, check the grounds. Odds are the ground from the display to the inside of the case has broken or become detached.
