First, that's illegal.

Second, that makes every other law-abiding citizen's insurance go up.

I would not suggest going that route.

Do like the rest of us, save your money and buy a new hood when you can afford it.

I agree, damaging your hood is not a good idea.

Look on e-bay... some are sold from $150-200 which is probably lower than your deductable.

I agree. Risking a raise in your insurance premium isn't worth it. Especially for a $200-$300 hood.

Hi,
At one point I was so frustrated with my car (after I had spent $2100CDN in parts/service since buying it 4 months ago) that I felt like having it 'accidentally' totaled. But now I love the car and I look at the 'problems' as a reason for me to learn how to work with cars.

As for your hood situation, see if you can find a junk store that would consider buying your current hood. The 79-93 Mustang parts store near mine has all sorts of used 'stang parts, and I've seen a white 2" (or 1.5") cowl that I want to buy. If I do get around to it, I'll prolly sell my current hood. Problem is I will need to get it repainted which will cost another $300-$500CDN. Something I don't exactly have.

Good luck, and don't fraud, or you're outta the family! http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...rd/biggrin.gif

Bye!
