Need some friendly advice....

Hi everybody! Im not one much for the mustang but i have been getting into them since most of my friends and the car club i am in have them. I currently have someone who is willing to trade me her stang for my Stealth. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how much her stang is worth based upon description. Well....here goes:

1992 Mustang LX Sedan 5.0
5spd
3.73 gears
headers
2 1/2 inch flowmaster exhaust
pro 5.0 shifter
aluminum driveshaft
new clutch
saleen wing
3 inch cowl hood
power windows and locks
kyb shocks and struts
65 mm throttle body
strut tower bar brace
supposedly in very nice shape exterior and interior wise
Supposedly only about 55,000 miles on the engine and probably somewhere around 100,000 miles on the body

So if you could, please tell me what you think the car is worth and get back to me here or email me at: jknox@bcit.tec.nj.us

Thanks for your time.

Assuming it's in excellent condition, $5000-6000.

Supposedly 55,000 on the motor and only 100,000 on the chassis? I'd be asking why the motor went out so quick. I'd expect the average 5.0 to go 120k-150k before the owner gives it a rebuild.

The mods mean nothing, other than it was driven.

I'd almost expect to find 2.5" exhaust, pw, pl, and gears on a '92 5.0. The rest of the mods, except the way oversized 3" cowl mean nothing. Personally, the hood would actually make it worth less to me, I think a 3" cowl that's not doing anything is just dumb looking.

Your Stealth, if it's nice, especially if it's an R/T, is worth more than the stang easy. What kind of Stealth are you running in? Even a nice early R/T should be worth well over 10k.

No kidding, an R/T stealth has to be worth some more coin. Unless there is a problem with it. I heard those cars cost an arm, leg, 6 fingers, 4 toes and a liver to fix http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...oard/smile.gif!

If you have another means of transportation I'd sell the Stealth for as much as you can get out of it and go find a stock Mustang and use the excess money to mod the hell out of it!
