Well, thank you all for the gracious hellos.

1) Dealer was polite but totally clueless. They said they thought there would be two production runs.
2) Car should arrive in May
3) I ordered the silver, thought about the code 13K rear spoiler delete, then saw a picture and it looked cool. I am not into the boy racer look. Even my license plates are stealthy.
4) I got it for MSRP or less. Dealer estimated it at 35.5k. Not much wiggle room
5) I have owned a number of stangs: 85, 86, and 87 GT's. A 64 1/2 convertible I restored.
6) I own a Corvette restoration and perf. parts business, but not too active (it is a second job if yuou know what I mean).
7) I am an engineer (MS in Mechanical and electrical) and write for an auto mag part-time.
8) My specialty is lubricants and general auto topics.
9) Other interesting cars I have owned: 1985 Z51 Corvette, 1992 Z07 Vette, 1972 454, 1967 427 convertible, 1961 Fuelie, 1995 NSX Targa,

I decided to sample up some Detroit iron again, now that Jac(kass) Nassar is history and a Ford again rules! Very disturbed by the 1999 Engine Fiasco, the F-150 radiator "goof", etc.

Hope I have not made a mistake trying the Blue Oval world.
Welcome to the board. I'm in my 4th year of a MET degree at Michigan Tech, hence my username.

I don't think you'll regret the new Cobra one bit.

Good Luck
