New member saying hello.
Hello everyone:
Just wanted to stop in and say: cool site and that I look forward to participating more. A little about myself: I'm a former USAF F-16 Crew Chief, stationed in Japan. I've been a Buick and a Mustang man since '87. I'm an active drag racer and I currently have a 9 second street driven Turbo Buick. But - don't shoot me just yet...I have quite a few friends that have turbo, supercharged & nitrous assisted Mustangs so I've had my share of street races and other encounters. I work for Precision Turbo & Engine as a Sales & Tech person. We manufacture turbochargers & custom intercoolers - both liquid and air to air - as well as other aftermarket parts such as fuel injectors & pumps. We're also one of the largest suppliers of FAST (Speed Pro) Engine management systems in the country. Most of the fastest turbo Mustangs in the country run our turbos as well as our supporting products. We also offer full tech support with the FAST system, as well as our turbochargers and supporting products. We'll be campaigning our Pro 5.0 Mustang, driven by Steve Grebeck this year, at various NMRA and FFW events around the country. This is the former Steve Halprin owned Pro 5.0 Mustang "Psycho Bit*" which currently holds the record as Fastest Pro 5.0 in the country with both ET and MPH. (6.65 & 213) I will be attending, setting up and selling our products at our (PTE) vendors spot as well. Anywho, enough of the business stuff. Basically, if it's modern and fast, especially with a turbo, you've got my respect. If I had my way, I'd build a 650 HP single turbo Mustang for a daily driver. Preferably a 96-98 body with the Stalker body kit and some nice 17's, ya know what I mean. I've been a Moderator on turbobuick.com since 98, so I'm very familiar with the In's and Out's of Message boards. Username RUQWKNF. Nice to meet everyone, and I look forward to having some fun. Welcome aboard Patrick! Your knowledge and experience will go a long way here! Buicks are fun. I never got that involved with the turbo's, even though Dutweiler is just a mile down the road. My Buick dynoed at 521 N/A w/nos. Still was too heavy, but fun!
Anyway, I look forward to reading your posts and replies! Take care, -Chris

Cool gettin some of the big dogs over posting. Now if we can get Steve Halprin, Grebeck and that Glidden guy over here we would be the big hitters then. You'll like it here. Its a pretty cool place to hang out. I love that physcho car. I went to my first major event other than NHRA event at Memphis last year. Me and some buddies attended the NMRA finals in Bowling Green. Met some real cool people there. Had alot of fun, and that finally set in my mind to build a drag car and not a street car. Once again Welcome. You should go over to www.Hardcore50.com to. I am a member there as well and we are having a day at Beech Bend, April 13th. T-N-T kinda. Mainly just hangin out and playin with hot rods. Were trying ot get some Pro, NMRA, and some other big names there to. You should check it out. Post with you soon.
Later Brad

Welcome aboard
Welcome to Mustang Works Online magazine.
Appreciate having a knowledgable turbo guy around the house, although for a minute there, I thought you were posting a commercial for your shop but within the context of introductions, it was helpful and informative. Never gone the turbo route but my best friend (a shop owner) has owned a bunch of GN's since the late '80's (mostly stock). As a diehard V-8 guy back then, my first balls-out ride in a near-stock '87 GN (that turned 13.6) was a revelation, to say the least. Getting my (stock '90 Mustang LX) butt whipped by that near-stock '87 GN drove the point home. I'm a believer, if not a buyer. Thanks for joining us. Look forward to your input.

Thanks guys.
I just wanted to say, you don't have to worry about me posting commercials per say, I'm just here to have fun, and help if I can. I'm definately not the type to have an attitude, I'm not biased towards one car maker to the next, basically if it's fast and modern, I'm all for it. Don't get me wrong, I love my Buick, and will keep it always, I'm just open minded when it comes to the total package for a street car. I like them all. Especially turbocharged ones. Anywho, I'll quit ramblin on, and I'll post when I can. Thanks again everyone. Patrick |
