Get the 90. The 95's are alot heavyer and slow stock. I'm guessing since it has a new 306, it probably has aftermarket heads, which then it would probably have intake and possibaly a cam.

I haven't seen the car or know what it all has done but I wouldn't think it would be a far trade. Thats a little much for a 90, but like I said I haven't seen it. It depends on the 306 for the blower, because it might have high compression pistons which you don't want for a blower. The RAGTOPS are DOGS, and super slow. Which trannys in these beast?

I would take the SN95 5.0 over a fox ANY day. Its only 200 lbs heavier and it handles waay better. But the best thing is that Ford went out of their way to make sure that it doesnt make all the damn rattling and creaking and other various noises that the fox makes. They arent too slow either. Mine happened to hit a 14.6 stock without powershifting.

Well it's a vert so it's alot heavyer. the 90's don't rattle or make a noise. Any vert is slow from the factory.

Not to sound all weird or anything, but I would drive both, at the track if they would let you, just to compare the two. My 89 GT has a 306 with Edelbeock alum heads and an E cam, and it makes 525 at the rear, with the blower. My Cobra though, feels faster off the line(I think it's just the gear). If you just want top down fun, go for the SN-95, but for all out fun, the FOX is the way to go. Drive them both first, and keep looking around, you might find the one you never knew you always wanted.

1994 Cobra- MAC cold air fender kit, Motorsport underdrive pulley's, MAC 21/2" off-road H pipe, SVO mufflers, 3.73 gears, E-303 cam, 13.417@101.335mph

I don't like buying any cars that have been significantly modified. Too many people out there think they know stuff about how mods should be made; they wind up making the wrong mods, and presto! You've got a mismatched pile. Plus if it's been modded, it's probably been really whooped on.

I'd much prefer to spend a few thou less, do the mods myself and be sure of what's been done, and that it's been done right.

Just my opinion.

I agree. One wrong part choice and it never runs right and/or reaches full potential.
Some third-rate mechanic work and the same result plus short engine life or other problems that you have to fix.
Add to all that the 'modded cars are beat-on cars' factor and it's not a pretty sight.

Consider a near-stocker and do-it-yourself for best results and peace of mind.

wow you have such good points I kinda figuired that the 90 was off for a trade, unless there was some cash involved, and I know the guy that did the work on the 95,oh and no offense ladies but the 95 was female owned and driven soft, her dad may have taken it out and wooped on it once and a while but other than that,I'm not too worried! I knoe it's a vert but I'm not going to be a hard core strip warrior,it will probobly never see track time, it would be more of a well powered canyon carver, and just a fun car to enjoy piecing together over time ,I've kinda ruled out a blower and want to focus more on the handling aspects of it, and I'm glad you guys mentioned that door sqeak clank thing because it does make a difference to me I want something powerful, stylish ,and yet a little refined,I hope this does not dissapoint some of you,but that's kinda why I want to get rid of the syclone, any other imput from anyone is always appreciated thanks so much!! SYCLONE!~!!

Why exactly are you selling the Syclone? I forgot. I'm not so sure I'd sell my Syclone (if I had one).

well....... a few reasons.
#1 I love it but it won't handle like mustang,I'm into canyon carving so it's just not good enough for me does fine for others!
#2 now that I have owned it ,and I have always wanted it and it is more than I expected ,I still ALWAYS wanted a mustang!!
#3 need a little more space INside the cab
#4 I want a mustang!!
#5 I enjoy hanging with car guys and talkin "shop" but around here when you smoke people in high dollar cars with a little black truck, you WON"T make freinds!! asking price $13,500

Well, if you are looking for ANY refinement, the Fox body should be out of the question. Don't get me wrong, I like 'em, my '87 GT can do a hell of a lot, for just a little cash. It can be made into a corner gobbling monster, but no matter what, they are brutes.

That's part of what makes them so fun to drive. There isn't any, "Uhuh huh huh, my goodness, would you look at that cheap imitation Gucci that loser is wearing." anywhere to be found in the Fox. It's light, it's fast, and with minor mods it can really corner, but it'll make you pay for it.

I hear you on the desire for refinement, which is why I'd like a newer Cobra, but right now, that's out of the question.

I've been looking at a few different cars/trucks lately. I'd preferably have a "clean" , non-modded car. Just more of a chance that the owner wasn't a very big racer or "dogger". My $.02

Unit brings up a very good point, as usual. The fox is a very sexy and at times, demanding car. Case in point, my/fatherinlaws 89GT FEELS like it's straighting every curve it goes around, while my Cobra just flat out goes. We believe that if they both had the same power to weight ratio, the Cobra would walk all over the GT, even with the GT having sub frames and other things that I forget right now. The GT sure feels like it's doing something, where as the Cobra just does it and goes on to the next thing in the road. Whew, this is long, sorry. I don't know how to put it exactly, but you'll feel the difference if/when you drive both of them.
