Forgiven this time!

Don't I wish Jason Priestly would come steal my 65 Mustang Coupe project and haul it out to Chip Foose to finish it!! That's the only way it will ever get finished it looks like.

Back to the paint issue, Bright Yellow with Black stripes!

thanks for the ideas, it is black and silver now, but the paint is dead. i was thinking of a bright orange and bright yellow mix for stripes, would that make a lava color? haha, or would that just be extremely ugly?

Your stang would be hard to look at I think Its definately a color combo I havent seen yet. I would make the stripes yellow and the body orange. If you do that you should metal flake both the orange and yellow paint.

And drive it down to the local import TuNeR so they can PiMp yO RiDe. IMO orange and yellow will not look good or even tasteful. Add metal flake to the mix and it gets even worse.

I love the car shown above as it uses two dark, compelling colors.

However, my GT is Torch red, and were I to add stripes they would be the proverbial white lines, not because everyone else does it, but because it truly is the best combo for that color.

Contrasting colors from the same pallete seem to make sense. If you have a bright Mustang, use a constrasting bright color. Dark, well, like the wonderful GT shown above, use a dark color.

You really cannot go wrong with with stripes. They are powerful, dramatic and in-your-face. Just make it a complimentary color that is secondary to the primary color of the car. You don't want the stripes to dominate, just accentuate.

Good luck.

Scot.

Hello,

Try red and yellow the evergreen flame look, or try white and black combination it will also look good on the car.
