Default Paintball Woes!!!!!!!!!!!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRRRRRRRrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrRRRR RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrr.

so im at this scenario paintball game. my younger brother and i have advanced REALLY far into the enemy territory. we figure we have walked a good mile without any enemy resistance and start to wonder whats up. I call a halt to the patrol and whip out my map and compass. using my eagle scout skills i figure we are just outside of an enemy "fuel depot". )thats what is said on my map anyway....) i figure that i would not mind capturing it, so my bro and i redeploy and are moving up when we crest this hill......

LOW AND BEHOLD IT'S THE ENEMY HQ. AND THE GENERAL IS STANDING OUTSIDE HIS BUNKER!

now you must understand that my brother has an "impulse" capable of firing a good 20 balls a second. imagine a tommy gun. (or for you military people, a SAW on steriods.) where he loves to mow down enemy's with a wall of paint, i perfer to hit my enemy with 3 or 4 well placed shots and call it a day. i have an "autococker" that has all kind of wonderfull toys added onto it to make it uber-accurate.

so we are on our bellys on this ridge. it is about a 50 yard shot, which in paintball terms is a decent ways. i line up for the shot......squeeze the trigger...... and POW!!!! my gun explodes! many heads and barrels swung our way, so i decided the best course of action would be a stragegic withdraw. we were very shortly eliminated by about 20 enemy troops. (hey... steve took 6 of em out when they ran like idiots over the ridge.... RATTA TAT TAT. the second wave was not so stupid.)

well.... after some time i figured out what happened. my gun had blown an expainsion chamber o ring. in other words my gun's air tank was open to atmosphere and venting its contents out. in the process it vented gas up through my gun's main block, destroying my sight and breaking the elbow to my hopper. also, the rush of liquid CO2 blew most of the paint in my hopper up. GOD DAMN IT!!!!!!!! here is a picture of my hopper that i just took apart to clean:

a closer look at the bad bull:

and needless to say, my gun gets a complete teardown, rebuild:

Oh man. I love Paintball. Use to play alot. Havent for a year due to Time. Havent had any free time to get a game going. Fun as hell, and extremely addicting.

Think I'll oil up my Tipman 98 and get ready. Need to plan a game soon.

That would be a tactical withdrawal, or in other terms haul as* and your as* better be small enough to do it in one trip !!
