Painted "SpideyStang" myself!

1 Attachment(s)
Well, I just finished my first paint job. I'd be interested in what ya'll think about it. I did alot of research, and I am a bigtime do-it-youselfer. Did all the bodywork myself with no real experience. Did all the paint myself with absolutely no experience (including the airbrushing). I designed the theme on my computer first. Be gentle, I'm sensative:-). If you don't like the whole Spiderman thing, contain your critisizm to the quality of work please.

Re: Painted "SpideyStang" myself!

That has got to be the ugliest mustang I have ever seen. Not only is the paint job hideous, the body kit makes me want to throw up. And lets not forget about the park bench for a wing you have on the trunk. Why would you violate a car in such a manner?

Re: Painted "SpideyStang" myself!

Well, everyone is entitled to an opinion. Unfortunately, yours don't count!!! A 16 year old fagot from Texas or Jersey (can't make up your mind?) with a "stock" photo for an avatar and a '90 POS with dilusions of grandure in a future speed shop who inspects jockstraps for a living can kiss my ass on both cheeks. Seems you ridiculed another paint job on a '85 LX. I think your a dick, and just like being cruel in a feeble attempt to compensate for your tiny penis.

Don't insult a Cop, we have ways.
(told you I was sensative)

Re: Painted "SpideyStang" myself!

Since you felt the need to post this message, and then send it to me in a pm, I'll extend you the same courtesy.

Some cop you must be if you think I am 16. Dont get all butt hurt when you post pics of your disgrace of a mustang and someone calls you on it. And if you are going to threaten me with your "dont insult a cop, we have ways", you better be prepared to bring it. I dont give a flying **** if you are the president of the United States, you threaten me, you better be prepared to back it up. I always bring the heat. I am in Plainsboro, NJ if you want to come find me. And it will be all about you an I as I dont know anyone up here. Whenever you are ready to get your ass handed to you by what you think is a 16 year old, you just make the trip and let me know.

And in case you are too ignorant to notice, that is not a stock photo. That is a photo of my old 01 GT that was taken by my camera and the apartment I used to live in.

Re: Painted "SpideyStang" myself!

You just have no sense of humor asshole. I know your not 16, but now I also know you really are dickless! The "public post" saying "we have ways" was intended as a joke, not a real threat. If it were I would pull you up on NCIC at work and really have fun. But I wouldn't do that in reality, because I have something you wouldn't know anything about. Integrity. If you go around insulting people in public especially, you should develop a thicker skin. And, if you mean a gun, by "heat" please let me know. Boy, I must have hit a nerve, eh?

bigred90gt 06-13-2006 01:11 PM

Re: Painted "SpideyStang" myself!

I dont mean a gun. I was blessed with size and ability, and have extensive training so that I do not need to use weapons to defend myself. I dont think you hit quite the nerve I must have for you to come off with a response like that. If you feel the need to pull me up in your system at work and "have fun" please, be my guest. You will find no dirt on me as I live a clean life. You may find my address, but, hey I already told you where I live. I just dont take kindly to threats.

And I wasnt insulting you publicly, I was stating that your car is hideous. I never brought a personal attack into the mix. You were the one who decided to threaten me, and I dont play that game. If you want to use your "ways" go ahead, but, they better be some strong ways.

Re: Painted "SpideyStang" myself!

ARE YOU SERIOUS!! Why did you do that ugly crap to a mustang?? Was the car running in an enclosed area when you decided to paint it??? You did it yourself? Not really to hard considering half is one color and the other half is 2. My 4 year old can do that. "Prison Cop" LOL I will leave that alone :D

stanger66 06-13-2006 01:16 PM

Re: Painted "SpideyStang" myself!

:D Does that paint scheme come in Beavis and Butthead at all,(just kidding). It doesn't look right on a mustang maybe if it was on a Honda, Toyota, etc you know a import it would probably fit in. Its kinda of Jappish look. It just doesnt look right at all. You did great paint job for your first time just not on the right car.
My buddy liked it because he is a spider man freak. The paint scheme isnt what I would put on a mustang.
Now if you are going to entered it shows it might do well at a import show, hehehe. :D :D

OK, my appologies. I guess I just picked the wrong site to post this on. Maybe die hard Mustang guys are not the audience for this. I've gotten flooded with posotive comments from hundreds of people in the week I've been driving it though. I few people remain silent, and I take that as there disapproval. But thats OK too. I don't expect to please everyone. I will never darken this website again. My Mother always taught me "If I don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." She had class. Maybe ya'lls Mom's couldn't say that because your cocks were in her mouth.

Wow, I haven't posted on here for years, but after seeing this on another board I had to say something.

First off that is one of the ugliest Mustangs I have ever seen. I can't stand it when I see Mustangs with hideous body kits on them like that. Completely different paint colors look retarded in my oppinion.

If you really want to know what people thought of it then why did you post it on a Mustang site and then get pissy when people don't like it? Get over it, the highschool ricers might like it, but soon they will grow up and realize how dumb they have all been.

I guess have integrity means you can fit as many cock put downs into one paragraph as possible. lol For your info, mom jokes got old about ten years ago. I really doubt you are a cop let, alone out of highschool by the way you act. If you are a cop then that makes it even funnier or sadder, I'm not sure which.

Okay, I'm ready. Throw all those mama jokes and at me and tell me how small my cock is since that seems to be all you can do.

Nice paint job! What 6 year old gave you the idea? :D Seriously, your in the wrong message board. No Mustang member here will ever like that paint scheme. The Saturn message board has a Wonder Woman paint job, maybe you want to head on over there to find your mate! :p

Re: Painted "SpideyStang" myself!

It took me a little bit to fiqure what car it looked like. It really looks like a Honda Prelude on Steroids a little jappish. Especially that kit you have on it. So did you have to fabricate it to fit the mustang? hehehe Now all you have to do is get neons, mirror tint, curb feelers, 20's or bigger rims, lower it, colored headlights, 12" tailpipe, chicken wire in the bumper oops you already have that, so you can complete the package..THE RICE LOOK!!!!!!!!!HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEH E

Oh by the way I printed this picture for my friends to see what they thought about it. (about 30 people) saw it a agreed with me and they also gave me some of the discriptions to add.

The quality of the paint looks really good, also good job on the airbrushing, which when i have done it it hasnt turned out real well at all. I wouldnt paint any car like that though, mostly since im not a fan of spiderman plus its alot going on. Looks like you did good work though, be proud of it.

i gotta give you some credit, the fact that you did it on your own is cool. but the body kit and the actual paint job are bad, plus remember real mustangers are about go not show. a quick look through this site would show this. plus i have a hard time believing that someone so spazzy and whiney as you is actually a cop. don't like what people have to say well as people say "suck it up princess sometimes life ain't fair."

It's an interesting look. I may not like the design myself, but if that's your first paint job it looks pretty phenominal and I would think you've got a big future in painting cars.

Appology:
I had to come back to post one more time to appologize. I am better than that which I represented in my responses. I was hurt by the malicious verbal attack of the first responder, and I let my emosions out on an immature response. Maybe a lesson can be learned by all of us as well. A simple "I don't like it." would avoid hurting anyones feelings instead of the insulting smartassed remarks mentioned. How can anyone say it's not a personal attack, when I explained I did it myself. I spent 3 months busting my ass 4-5 hours a day and all day on weekends doing the bodywork and paint. If my Mustang offends you, I'm sorry. I love my Mustang (even when it was green) and I love Spiderman (since I was a kid, not since the movie). Remember, it's easy to be cruel when you don't have to witness the hurt it causes. At least 1 members buddy liked it, and I like it. Thats all that really matters.

So if you were a cop, would it be considered good practice to threaten people on the internet with your law enforcement power? Because that seems like it might be against the law too.

Again, it was not a personal attack. It was a statement of one persons opinion on the subject at hand, which just so happened to be your car. If you post a picture of something that looks like that on the internet, you have to expect some people to not like it. I dont doubt that a lot of work went into it, it just seems like wasted effort, in my opinion. And if someone's negative opinion of your car hurts you, or seems cruel to you, than you really shouldnt be a cop. You will run into alot worse than someone making negative comments about your car, and by your reaction, it doesnt seem as though you will be able to handle it. Again, this is just my opinion, take it with a grain of salt.

The layout and the work involved is great. The scheme is great, and I like how the face is buy the doors. The body kit and that great BIG wing on the back are terriable for a Stang. Like the others say, looks like an import of some kind. I think your one hell of a painter, but wrong paint job for the ppl here. Like others here said, this site is more about go than show. I really think it would have been accepted better if you would have left off that big ass wing, (just my opinion). Enjoy your ride, as for me ill drive my faded out grey 88Gt needing a paint job, which the ricers hate because they cant keep up. PS: Dont take my comments to heart( Just my opinion). :)

Wow and I thought you guys were rough with me. As for the paint job, well all I can say is whatever he likes it's his car.

Re: Painted "SpideyStang" myself!

The paint itself is ok. I wouldn't do it, but then again, I do have some sort of taste. The body kit and wing are just hideous in combination with that paint. Like or not, it's different.

Now for the smartass response........
You should be drug out into the street and beaten with that wing and your car burned, crushed, and made into paper clips.

That is all......

Re: Painted "SpideyStang" myself!

Well, after reading some of the garbage in here, really did not want to respond. But...can’t help myself.

First, you asked for opinions and got them. So if you don’t like them, keep that in mind. Second, I didn’t really read all the responses, but bringing up our mothers and our lower members in the same sentence...doesn't sit well with me at all.

Third, I think the quality of the work looks very good, especially for a first timer. I even think it is original, although a little too "bright" for me. So in response to your original question....all in all I like it on your car.

Now the real reason why I felt I needed to post. I am not sure how ur profession got brought in to this. Just for clarification...if you work for FHP...that’s great....means you have jurisdiction in Florida.....where I am guessing most of us don’t live.

Don’t want to see you leave the board, but the B.S. comments have got to stop.

damn...I better watch out when I post my finished stang...could someone post me the rule book on how I should paint my 92 so I don't make the same mistake...I thought I could pretty much use my own imagination on my own car without breaking some kinda rule. And just for shits and giggles...internet fights are no fun whatsoever...NO BLOOD

Re: Painted "SpideyStang" myself!

Honestly i'd never be caught driving your car....but it's original, it's craftfully done and it's what you want - so you get my respect. This is something i could see as a promo for a movie or a car show type car...not something to actually drive. But that's just my opinion.

Be happy you finished your car in the way you wanted and who cares what other people think, your project is done and done well and it's what you like - that's cool.

There is no rule book when it comes to someone's tastes. Everyone is different and likes what they like for whatever reasons. But, when you post pics of ANYTHING, you have to expect positive and negative remarks. You could post a pic of J-lo, and some people would drool while others would point out some flaw. Maybe her butt is too big for some (for the record, I am not included in that category, she most definately has been blessed with a superior posterior), who knows. But, there will always be people who dont like it, and to differing degrees. Posting pics of it just depends on how thick your skin is.

Drive it off a rooftop and see if it can swing from building to building. With that wing, it may even fly!

I'm suprised it wasn't pig themed :)

I can appreciate the work you put into your car but I personally think it would look better a solid color.. I like black.

I wouldn't want it for my car, but I think you did a good job. It would be a car that I would walk over and check out if I saw it in a parking lot.

Don't let all the negative comments get you down, it's your mustang and you can do what you want. I'd let you paint my mustang as long as you did it how I wanted it.

The only things I don't really like r the front bumper and the yellow. I think it's cool how u did it all urself, but I think the yellow and the front bumper ruin it.

As for the flaming, not good on both sides. Both u do need to take both the good comments and the bad. The first responce, joking or not was needed

I'll give u props for doing all the work urself, and other then what I said above, it looks good.

5 words sum this one up.

"Uh-Oh, better get Maaco!"

j/k I know next to nothing about painting cars, but from what I can see from a distance, the quality of the work looks great for your first attempt.

The scheme itself is another story. Is spidey's head supposed to be sticking out through the side scoop, or is the door being slammed shut on his neck. Honestly, I'm creeped out a little. I have no clue what possessed you to use yellow on the car. I don't get why people use the "biplane" spoilers when there's almost NO downforce going on with either wing (or bench). Lastly, I didn't know whether I was looking at a mustang or a supra at first.

I'm really trying to be as constructive as I possibly can with my criticisms, hopefully you get something out of my opinion that will help you improve in some way. Asking people to just say "I don't like it", while easy on the ego, doesn't help you at all in the end. If you simply want your ego stroked, you'd probably be better off on a different website.

Re: Painted "SpideyStang" myself!

I had a funny thought. Since the topic car was Spiderman themed, and bigred90gt has a green Stang in his Avatar, could it be Spiderman vs. The Incredible Hulk? j/k

My opinion is that the paint job was a good personal effort on your part. I don't personally feel its my taste. A car should be a car, not a moving comic book. Especially for a Stang, which of all the cars I've ever owned, has the most personality. It growls when its hungry, its fast when you want to get from point a to point b and its fun to drive. My 2 cents.

If you like your body kit, good on you, its your style and the most important part is you like it.

From what i can see in the photos you did a good job on the paint and fit an finish.

As far as the whole "prison cop" thing... you just embarassed the rest of law enforcement officer in North America. We are a proud group of dedicated men and women who commit our lives to doing right, not insulting or throwing our authority in someones face. But on the same token, good job on saying sorry, it takes a big man to do that.

Thats just my two cents.
