Default Palm Springs, Ca (07/14/03 - Mon)

Anybody see what the temperature was in Palm Springs, Ca. on Monday, Jul. 14th. Weather.com had it posted as 154 degrees!!! It was something like 117, with the heat index it shot up to 154 degrees! Damn!! Thats like being over in Saudi!! It shows that it's 100 degrees right now (01:10 EST - 07/16/03)

I sure would hate to be living there right now!! Especially if you had a leather interior in your 'Stang!! Damn!! Can you say sweaty ***!!

How many people do we have on here from Palm Springs, California?

My in laws live about 20 miles east of Palm Springs (20 miles further out in the desert, it usually runs about 4 or 5 degress hotter than palm springs!), and i have to visit out there quite a bit They can have it in the summertime ... its nice in the winter though (other than the winds in the spring).
I remember having to do some Work at a Mobil station in palm springs a few years ago and the first day i was there it got to 121 degrees and that was straight official temp from the weather service !!! Dry air or not thats freekin HOT !! You could have cooked a pizza on that sheet metal canopy i was working on.

My friends and I went camping near Yuma, Arizona a couple weeks ago and it was like 110 during the day

Needless to say we are only going camping there during the winter
