Question Dynomax super turbo or race magnum cat back?

OK, I let my friend drive my car today. He went less than 1/2 throttle with the rpm's between 3-4k. The car was LOUD, too loud IMO. I am running 2.5" 2 chamber flows that sound nice, REAL nice, but are too obnixious for me outside the car. They are fine for a stock car, but not for my heads/cam/intake Mustang. I dont want to sound too quiet, but which one in your opinion will sound best on my car? Please post dynomax sound files too! Ultra flo's are too expesive for me, so its either super turbo or race magnum. I heard from guys on the web that the race magnums are loud, but not that loud. I want to be more of a sleeper, but still be heard. The price difference is like $20 between the 2, so $$ isn't an object.

I don't have any sound files, but I would go with the Super Turbo system. I raced against my car and my 87GT just sounded awesome. From inside you can tell it's not stock, but it's not obscene either.

the "race magnums" are the welded, racing version of the ultra flos, they have no baffles, and you can see straight through them. they are loud, but then i think my super turbos are too quiet.

i am switching to the ultra flow welded(race magnums) soon.

i love thre sound of the ultra flos, and they flow better than the flowmasters too..

I love my superturbo's! They have a nice sound. They aren't too loud like 2 chamber flows, but you can definitely tell its an aftermarket system. When I use my stock cat h-pipe the sound gets a lot quieter, then with my off road pipe. I also noticed a sound increase after I installed my new motor, it got more throaty. I'll try to get a sound bite if I can figure how to upload from mini disk to my comp.

Get the Dynomax Super Turbo's. That's what I have and although they do sound a little quieter, they sound pretty mean.
I also noticed a big difference after I put an off road pipe on my car.

Lightbulb The sound of power

I have the Dynomax Super Turbos on a mostly stock 5.0 and they sound great.

Nice sedate rumble at idle and a slightly noticable purr at partial throttle, then a good ripping roar at WOT - high RPM's.

Good compromise muffler for the street. Won't set off alarms but it will make it clear that you're not driving a 4 cylinder, either.

I will have to put my vote on the super turbos as well. Both me and my father have them on our mustangs and they sound great. Fairly quiet at idle but give a nice roar at WOT. They also keep the inside of the car fairly quiet. I know when i get exhaust on the 88 it will be dynomax super turbos.

the super turbos also have a drone from 1500-2000, which gets annoying crusing for like 1 hour. they do sound great, but i want something people are going to hear my car coming.

I kinda liked that drone, I would turn the stereo off just to listen to the car pur! Now that I have a stall converter and gears I don't really see those low rpm's anymore, and that drone went away.
