Default Pony Parade

Went to the Pony Parade tonight. Bunch of Mustangs driving across the US on the 40th anniversrey. The cool thing is they are "driving" the cars not pulling on trailers. There was a bunch of cool cars; Boss's, Mach's, Cobra's, 5.0's.

Probably the rarest car there was a 1969 Shelby GT350 convertable. There were a number of Shelby GT500's from say 1966-68 but the GT350 was special. The dual exhaust came out of the rear bumper as two square like holes. The whole thing was stock. Glad to see Shelby is coming back to work with Ford.

There was a really clean Mach I, I think early 70's, that was selling for $28,000. It had special chrome plate with Mach I on it on it on the rocker panels. Really good looking.

It was interesting to compare the older 289's sitting next to '03 Cobras all with hoods up. Lets you see how far engines have come.

I think the parade goes to Dallas next and winds it way to Califorina through Denver, Reno and Las Vegas. Probably a few different cars at every stop. There were a lot of locals at the stop tonight. I would recommend a visit if it comes to your town.

Whatever happened to the FoMoCo logo. I saw a lot of that on the older cars. Sounds too much like a cuss word now I guess.
