Stock for stock, would any of you mess with the 2001 911 turbo in stock form, if you had a new Cobra? just curious...

Popular Mechanics did a run down on many production cars including the 911 and the Cobra. 911 wasted the cobra by many tenths in the 1/4 mile. You'd be owned. BTW, they are both 13 second cars, so it's pretty close anyway.

a 911 turbo took my brothers 96 GT (S-trim, ported 99+ heads and a bunch of other crap) by about 9 car links. But I think that one was souped up

Does your brother's 95 GT have 420bhp? And 20lbs of boost on the Cobra isn't stock for stock. Sure, why not go out and get a stage 4 twin turbo for the 930, then you won't see tail lights, all you'll see is his time already up on the lightboard.

goes my brother's GT make 420bhp? I don't know. It's got a intercooled S-trim with 10psi of boost, ported 99+ heads, cams, full exhaust, pullies, 4.11 gears, and a bunch of other crap. BTW the 911 he raced was souped up you could hear it camin.

That must be an interesting sound eh? A lopey idling 911 Those cars are supposed to be the essence of refinement and then you hear one sounding like an american street rod rumbling up to you. What does a lopey v6 sound like anyway?
