posi rear end/ years

What years of fords ('80 and newer) came with stock posi tractiong rear ends?, I am tired of one wheel spining in my truck I want both!

thanks for your help

Aside from the cobra's, I can't think of a model specific posi rear.

It was an option on a lot of them. Look for an unopened rear with the L designation between the numbers on the tag.

It would be easier probably to add the locker to your current rear.

I know the 1985 and up v8's had the traction lok, 86and up where 8.8 inch traction lock which is stronger that the 7.5. of the previous years. I got a brand new 8.8 from ford racing for $690.

When did the ford trucks start using posi rears? standard?

I don't know what year they became standard on the truck, but I had an 87 F-150 that did not have it yet. One wheel spinning with that light bed on the back really sucked! My Mustang gets around so much better in bad weather than that truck ever did.
