Losing your hood...
It finally happened to me. Like so many other bruised 'Stangs i've seen at the track and on the street.
I washed my car before headingout to the track. I forgot to put my hood pins back in, and BAM!!! It flew up at the top of first gear. I got a lot of the dent out of the cowl, (thanks to my el'cheapo flyweight Ebay special..) but the plastic grate is smashed to smithereens. My Welds have little marks in the aluminum, a few rust spots are starting to poke through on the body, and now this. Time for a facelift I guess. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/frown.gif |
Damn guys!
This is like the 4th flying hood post in the last week! Let's latch those baby's down! |
MAN! Sorry to hear about the hood. I am still waiting for my new one to arrive. I was one of the other hood posts this month. Light Em Up!!! http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif

To add to that, My 190 pump died a few days ago. It was a whopping year and a half old. Then last night a fuel injector either got stuck or clogged. I had raw gas coming out of a tailpipe... http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/frown.gif

Hi,
Hehe...I've been hearing all these stories with people and their hood flying off... Makes me wonder, why can't car makers make a sensor or something that lets you know your hood is open, or better yet, you can't start your car if it is open. Just a button that gets pressed when hood is fully closed (no special sensor). http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif Bye! ------------------ Gautam N.
