Nothing has changed for me here. I still accelerate moderately, shift at 3000rpms and get 19-21 in town.

Everyone on here I see gets what I consider good gas milage, I get about 16 miles to the gallon on the highway. But, I don't go out as much as I used to and not having to drive to school anymore this year helped with weekly gas milage. But I still run 93 octane.

No change runnign race gas in the stang still $3.50/gallon. Drive the the wheels off the Z71 at $2/gallon for unleaded regular. I drive hard & just live with the cost.

Yeah it has changed my habits. When I bought my flowmasters, I started driving it different. I constantly have my foot in it, just so I can the best outta the sound. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif So my gas mileage actually went down after installing the exhaust. But after the prices are getting so high I think I had better start driving a little more like an old granny and less like a nascar driver...

Well, I drive the olds to work which is a 6 cyl., so it gets way better mileage than the stang, but when not goin to work I still drive the mustang as I always did! http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/wink.gif
And sometimes I drive the Ninja around and that gets awesome mileage!
I'm in West Palm Beach, FL and Premium here is at 1.85

Our premium is at about $1.95 and I still drive the same. What's funny is that our premium is only 15 cents more than regular, but in the Chicago area it was 20 cents more. I don't know what that's all about or if that's even still the case.

I drive about 90 miles a day to work and back. A tank only lasts about 3 trips.

BTW, my wife and I are taking the 'Stang to Chicago for our anniversery in June. That's gonna be fun.

I only get 13 mpg in my car with the c-4 and no over-drive. Have to use premium at $1.75. But I only drive my '66 Stang recreationally, so I don't really go anywhere in it. What bugs me is that I have to putter around Houston for days just to find somebody that might want to go on the street. When I do get one though, it's all worth it, regardless of gas prices. Why doesn't my wife understand all this when the gas bill comes?

0.79 cents a Litre tonight http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/mad.gif pisses me off more when i know 85% of is tax (you americans don't even know the meaning of tax the way we do).

I've continued to take the bus this summer to work - huge azz savings, plus i save on the rip-off $8/day parking http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif

Unit 5302 05-13-2001 02:37 AM

Actually I did buy my car a good deal for mileage.

I was getting sick of 24/26 with no power in my '91 Escort GT, when I knew my previous 88GT got 21/28.

stizzity 05-13-2001 12:42 PM

i still drive the same, which is fast, but under control. 87 octane is hovering around $1.80 here in Sandusky.

Change driving habits? Nope.. just have to fuel up more often.... Its at 81.2 cents per litre for 87 octance at some places, average 79.9..

Thad 05-16-2001 05:28 PM

I can't say that i drive any different than i did before. Metal to the floor when intrigued. The prices are definately outrageous. It's all just a big game to all those money hungry tycoons.
