I'm not much of a Laker fan (Portland and Dallas fan), but I could see that LA would win it again this year. Sure enough, out of the teams that are left only SA matches up any sort of competition, with a few exceptions. Nobody can match up with Kobe's speed, and Shaq inside has no competition. Duncan or Robinson can't muscle him so Duncan is left with a hook or fade-away. They will let him have those unless he starts hitting good and then will just rotate to double him with a post and guard. Probably see Fox on Duncan for a bit.

Spurs all the way!!!! Sure Shaq is going to get his points but Shaq isn't quick enough to guard Duncan OR Robinson. And Horace Grant and Robert Horry will be used terribly by whomever they are guarding(Duncan or Robinson). Fox will be on Shaun Elliot which is going to cause Fox some problems. The only way the Lakers will pull off this series is if they have a 3rd person step up and score, cuz Shaq and Kobe won't be able to do it by themselves against a well balanced team like San Antonio.

Shaq has power no doubt, but he wont stop duncans bank shot, and all he will do is foul out trying to block it, robinson is not as powerful as shaq, but he is one of the more powerful guys in the league. Noone is gonna be able to compete with s.a's defense, like inferno said "well balanced" how many 3 point shooters does S.A. have? and how many does L.A have? ok, we will see later on today. I also have to agree(sorry east coast guys)that between SA and LA we are watching the nba champ. SA actually did a fairly decent job shutting down shaq but nobody on that team could keep up with Bryant. Fisher is asserting himself more and more as he gets deeper into the playoffs.

69fastback, Kobe was incredible on Saturday, but that isn't really a good sign. One player(except for Shaq and AI) can't really carry a team. San Antonio never got into the flow offensively. Defensively, they did a very good job of slowing Shaq down. Even though they were shooting poorly, they still managed to hang around. If the Spurs start hitting the wide open shots that they were missing in game one, the Lakers are in big trouble.

2-0. Looks like it will go 4 games, 5 at the most. I dont know how you guys could expect San Antonio to win this with the defense the Lakers have been playing. Its just smothering, and awesome to watch. Inferno, C'mon spurs are done!!
