WTF?? (very long)

Ok, havent posted in a bit, but over the last few weeks, Ive begun to notice some F'd up stuff going on on the streets with other stangs. Just want to know what you all think.

1. I was on the freeway and behind a ~96 V6 stang. There are two girls in the front and a guy in back. They are looking back at my car (steeda windshield banner) and when traffic finally clears, they take off, and I pursue, not really trying, and we take it up to maybe 110, then shut down, and I cruise right at their door, and smile at them. They take off again, and I try this time, and absolutely LEAVE them up to about 115. Then I slow down to give them the thumbs up, and the ****** in the back is giving me this hard look, and the finger. I gave him a shrug, and the thumbs down, and drove away.

2. Yesterday, some chevy astro van is tailgating me, but Im trying not to let it get to me. I see a new green Bullitt up ahead, so i take off to try and catch it to say "nice car." I eventually pull up next to the Bullitt at a stop, and there are two Gorgeous young girls driving. They wont even look at me, and they just drive away. Then, the guys in the van pull up into their spot, and the dude yells, "You're $hit is weak." But the funny thing is that as I was sitting next to them at the light, they didnt even say anything til the light changed, and they could get away. Pu$$ies.

3. Today Im driving to work on the freeway when a cute girl in a new V6 vert passes me doing 90+. I give chase, get behind her, and we cruise along at about 95, when I finally just pass her. As Im going around, I look over at her to smile, and she gives me this look, like "What the **** are you doing, showoff..."

Basically, these 3 and other happenings are making my daily cruises a lot less fun. No one around here has any respect, and no one wants to play. Has anyone else been noticing this. BTW i havent had a legitimate race in over 2 months. Thanks for hearing my rant. Take it easy.

Just bide your time SW, most of these idiots (girls and guys) don't have a clue about cars. They think their AstroVans rank right up there with real cars.

The other day a nice looking girl pulled up beside me at a light in a 3000 Gt (not a VR-4). She was in the right lane. I looked over and she just looked straight ahead. When the light turned green she gassed it and cut accross 3 lanes to get into the left turn lane. It was a automatic . I could easily have dusted her, but I'll bet she thinks she's pretty quick. I bet that's what the Mitsu dealer told her. LOL.

IMHO I think its the price of gas and the increase in price of everything else recently (because of the price of gas)that is getting to people, especially on the roadways. Of course it's just a theory.

Hey dudes, less **** talk about astrovans. I had an 85, it wasn't the fastest automobile, but it backfired like it was nobodies business, plus with the bubble windows in the back it was the definition of style. Now it sits in my garage with a spun rod bearing (I'd get rid of it, but being my parents bought it brand new in 1986, and my dad installed the bubble windows and custom stripes it's kind of a family heirloom, I'm not gonna lie).
Sorry if this is off the subject.

NOW BEING SERIOUS, IF SOMEONE RUNS UP ON MY AZZ AND I DONT KNOW THEM, IM THINKING GET AWAY FROM ME. IF THEY GIVE ME A SIGN THAT THEY LIKE THE CAR THATS DIFFERENT. IF NOT, IM REACHING FOR MY GAS PEDDLE AND A CURVY ROAD!C'MON AND GET MEEEEEEEE IF YA DARE!

No offense, but if I was cruising down the interstate speeding & in a hurry and someone pulled even with me and looked/smiled I'd probably look at them like WTF? They probably think you are screwing with them. Not everyone that's driving fast or has a nice car wants to road race.

As for the dumba$$ in the minivan, well they're in a minivan what do you expect?

Mercury 06-01-2001 01:30 PM

No offense, but I cant stand mini-vans either. One caused the wreck that could of taken my life, then sped off. Ever since then I loathe minivans.

One pulled out right infront of TimC and cut him off while he was racing a modified Dakota R/T. There were two other open lanes, but the jerk pulled out right infront of both of them.

He didnt even stop at the intersection. Just barrelled a$$ed out infront of traffic. The dodge had to slam the brakes on and he got squirlly, and TimC about had to shoot over into the turning lane. I mean that guy pulled out only feet infront of them. I'm amazed that there wasnt an accident.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! MINI VANS ARE THE SPAWN OF SATIN. EVERYONE HERES YOUR HOMEWORK FOR THE WEEKEND. FIND MINIVAN PEOPLE AND WATCH THEM DRIVE FOR A WHILE. I'LL BET THAT MOST WILL BE SITTIN AS FAR FORWARD AS THE SEAT WILL GO AND WEIGHT 180+. THEY SHOULD HAVE A BIG EYED HOMER SIMPSON LOOK ON THERE FACE OR BE VERY SERIOUS. (ALERT) DO NOT ATTEMPT CONTACT! THEY BELIEVE THERE VEHICLE IS THE BADDEST, BIGGEST AND FASTEST THING ON THE ROAD. BUT WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT TRY TO OUTBREAK THEM AT A LIGHT OR CORNER. THESE ARE GIVEN AWAY BY THE MASSIVE BUILDUP OF BRAKE DUST ON THE WHEELS. REMEMBER, JUST OBSERVE NO CONTACT. HAPPY HUNTING. REPORT BACK YOUR FINDINGS. LOL!

Dude, do us a favor and shut off the caps lock.

Thanks.

bigwhitecobra 06-01-2001 07:40 PM

Heh heh heh heh. Minivans suck arse. Although, in the defense of us REAL drivers, I have a huge hulk of a van. It's a Dodge something or other, 350. Anywho, I try to stay out of everybody's way when I am forced to drive the thing. All I can say is that I feel your pain guys and gals. I feel your pain.

SW, I feel your pain too. No real races in a week or so. Guess I sound spoiled huh?

Well, as I recall, the original topic wasn't minivans but lame drivers you meet on the street. I agree with StoplightWarrior here.

One time, I'm cruising on the interstate doing about 60 in the slow lane, no less (in my 'Stang) and a girl in an old (but clean) '70's-era Dodge (not a muscle model) passes me, pulls into my lane in front of me (didn't cut me off) and gives me the finger out her window! What? Why?

I was really annoyed so I jumped on it and pulled alongside of her and shouted "What's your problem?" She didn't acknowledge me and stared straight ahead, probably a little worried, although I wasn't going to do anything, I was just confused as to why she felt the need to give me the finger.

So I paced her for a minute then took off and forgot about it - kind of, but this crap does happen way too much. Just a more crude and nastier society and as the culture gets courser, so do the road incidents.

It's a jungle out there. Be careful.

Anyone know who that (^^^) is?

People are assholes. It seems to me that the average population is getting dumber and meaner all the time.
