didn't someone have a car stolen recently?

Well, it happened to me early Monday morning before work. The car was last seen around 2am, reported stolen at about 6:30am, and recovered about 9am. Convertible top is gone, wheels are gone, interior is gone, steering column is busted and hood is scratched up. Alarm is cut into pieces. Engine is still there, though. A**holes placed a cherry under my windshield wiper (symbolic?!?) and took a spare "Don't be a dick" sticker I had in my glovebox and pasted it to the left rear quarter.

I think there was someone on here recently that had a car stolen and recovered. I'd like to talk to you off the board or possibly on the phone about your strategy in dealing with the insurance company. I paid about $4000 over book for the car based on it's excellent condition, and now I have this sinking feeling that I'm gonna get hosed.

If anyone hears of a white leather interior or a set of Pony rims being sold, I'd like to know about it so I can follow up. I'm pretty sure I could identify my seats based on marks.

Would appreciate any help or words of advice...

Probably for their car. I am on the auction sites a lot, I will keep my eyes open. Sorry to hear of your loss. I can't stand people like that. Get a job and earn your car.
