which exhaust should I get?
Sense I'm getting a 5.0 this winter I'm alrealy planning mods. Which exhaust should I get. I want a loud, low, mean, rumble. I don't want I all raspy and poping, I want it smooth and low. I was thinks about an off-road h-pipe and 2-chamber flows, but someone told me that Mac sounded better. Has anyone hear both? Also would dumps make it sound better.

I've heard the macs sound a little less hollow than the flowmaster 40's, but still pretty loud. I just took my tailpipes off tonight and put on a set of dumps, it sounds deeper at lower rpms and a little louder when it's winding up. I'd like to get some flowmasters 40's, I just haven't had the money. ------------------ 86 Mustang GT w/pretty stock 93 5.0 (cam, pulleys, injectors, throttlebody,h-pipe) Motor to be swapped for a 1970 429 +.030, ported heads, solid roller cam, victor intake, 10.2:1 comp, C-6 trans, 3:73 rearend W/moser axles |
I've got 2 chamber flowmasters and an off-road h-pipe on my 91 GT and it sounds absolutely awesome (mean as hell, especially since I put the cam in). But, I only drive the car on weekends. It is really loud and could be annoying if it was daily driven. I have heard 3 chamber flowmasters w/ an off-road h-pipe and they were quieter until it was hammered. Anyways, good luck.
