Decisions, decisions!
Hi guys, Sorry for bothering you guys so damn much about the stroker I want to build but I have to ask you a question.
I have the money to build my stroker shortblock now but I dont have enough for the heads and intake. So I was thinking about buying and putting the heads and intake that I want for my 347 project on my 302 for now untill I can scrounge up the cash for the stroker shortblock. I read an article by MM&FF about it and I intend to use the exact same parts. 58cc AFR 185's w a TFSR intake and a new comp cam. They got 425 hp out of that combo with a stock compression 302 and didnt have to rev over 6500. I could afford the top end first and wait for the shortblock. What do you guys think? My motor has 82,000 miles on it. I could play untill I get the dough for the shortblock of my dreams. ------------------ 95GT B303 cam, 1.7 rockers, 65mm TB, milled heads, 355's K&N, BBK Longtubes, Flowmaster cat back, pulleys, msd coil, 9mm wires, Tremec 3550, Pro5.0 shifter,10.5 Motorsport clutch, FMS aluminum driveshaft, weld in subframe connectors |
You already have the exhaust. I'd get the heads and intake with that cam. Since the intake and heads are the worst parts on a stock ford, you're way ahead of the game. You'll probably be surprised at the power it will put out. How big of a cam are you getting?

Definatly go for it. My car has more miles than you could ever imagine. A rebuild in somewhere, but its been thrashed on.
