X-pipe or H-pipe?

I was wondering if anyone knows 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for a stock 96 GT 5-speed couple?
also, would a "racing level, smog illegal" k&n cold air intake as well as an x-pipe be 'too much' for the 4.6 liter? My friends say I'll get some hp but loose torque. Should i just go with a normal cold air intake and h-pipe? thanks for any help
p.s. the k&n non-street use k&n air intake is about $100 cheaper than the street legal one, and gives more hp supposedly

I'm not sure of the 1/4 times, but I think it's like high 15s(cylinder heads suck big time)

Go with the X-pipe and unless you have emission testing get the illegal K&N

Properly driven, a 96 GT 5spd Coupe should be able to rip off about a 15.2 in the 1/4, stock.

That's about right Unit. A good friend with a '96 GT vert with a 5 speed ran a 15.6 when he first got it. That was bone stock. I'll bet the less weight of a coupe would put it right where you say. BTW, this guy now has a Vortech and can't even run the 1/4 at the track because he doesn't have a cage, 5 pt. harness, blah, blah, blah.
