Muffler???

I have a MAC exhaust system on my ride now. Don't get me wrong, it sounds good but I want something a little quieter for regular driving. I would like a cat back exhaust system that is bolt on so I can change the mufflers when I want. I want a system that is quiet at idle but grumbles when I take off. Any suggestions? I have been looking at Flowmaster, Borla, and Dynomax.

Sounds like you may want Dynomax. They are quiet, but when you get on them, they sound great.

I have MAC on my car, and it is not loud enough!

Stay with MAC http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif

Flowmaster 3-chambers are fairly quiet at idle, but sound loud when you get on them. If that is the type of sound I was looking for then, I would be all set because I already have them on my car, but I want things to be louder. If I had the cash I would probably get MAC pro-dumps, but college is kickin' my A$$ financially this year.

I have - and recommend - the Walker DynoMax Super Turbo cat-back system. Available in 2 1'4" (stock) and 2 1/2" pipes. Nice quality.

Just above stock sound at idle, nice rumble at WOT but never obnoxious or annoying at cruising speeds or around town at lower RPM's. Just enough sound so you know it's a performance car without attracting cops or setting off alarms when you drive by (and giving you a headache on a trip).

I have MAC 1 5/8" headers (unequ) and a MAC 2 1/2" h-pipe with two high-flow cats. I want something a little quieter at 2000rpm, but just as loud at 5000. So in other words, quite at idle and loud at WOT.
