Insurance Question...

Do any of you know of any insurance differences between a Mustang and a Camaro? I'm considering buying one, but the insurance is big in my decision...comparing say...a 96 camaro Z28 and a 96 Mustang GT...thanks in advance for any responses...

Insurance rates can vary wildly as there are so many variables including annual mileage, driver age and history, coverage maximums, state and town you live in and so on. It all factors into the cost.

Mustang and Camaro are generally high-risk vehicles as they are involved in more crashes than other vehicles, so the cost may be equally high no matter which one you choose. Each insurance company has it's it's own 'loss history' and some may have better rates than others for these vehicles, depending on how many claims they paid out for accidents involving Mustangs and camaros over a set time period.

You should call around to various agents in your area and ask for quotes. You may be pleasantly surprised or rudely shocked at the quotes but you won't know unless you ask.

Good luck.

From the information I've seen, Mustang's are about the worst for insurance there is  About the only car that's worse is an Intregra, lol.

Regardless, the Camaro certainly isn't much better, and I haven't seen the data recently. The pricing will vary greatly with the driver.
