Re: convertible top repair
i just repaired a couple of small holes in my ragtop. i used 'shoe goo' and smeared it on yhe inside, then stuck a patch cut from vynil upholstery material to the sticky stuff. put the goo on both surfaces as the instructions say,and you might have to babysit the repair for about an hour. mine wanted to curl up a bit around the edges.just keep working it every five minutes or so and the edges of the patch will stay stuck,,i covered the outside the holes with masking tape to prevent any ooze from coming thru and also went back the next day and put more shoe goo on the patch,on the inside, cover a spot bigger than thje patch.the holes in my top were very small, and this seems to be a very good fix. the outside is just a bit lumpy where the patch is, but i'm happy with the repair. good luck with yours! (shoe goo can be bought in any shoe department or shoe store.cost about 4 bucks)
