Got a Little Kitten!

You all might remember my post a week and half ago about me having to put my cat to sleep. :(

Well, I got home from work last night, and my younger sister had waited up for me. She was holding a cat, for a second, I thought it was Ceasar (The cat that had died). My heart skipped a beat and I was about to Yell and run and grab him and give him a big hug.

But then I realized animals (Or people) dont come back to life, and that this cat looked alot smaller. My sister's friend gave him to us when she heard about Ceasar. Cute little guy.

We named him Hercules, for a reason. During Dinner, he was put in the laundry room so he wouldnt jump all over them, ( I was at work as usual). They said all of a sudden they heard the door fly open (Its a folding door) and the Kitten came speeding out, Jumped in one single bound (Amazing since he's still a little kitten) onto the kitchen table. Before my family could react, he pounced right into my one sisters plate and knocked it onto her lap, then ran off leaving a trail of Tomato sauce.

He's a real friendly kitten. Not real hyper, well except for the dinner incident, seems to have a real nice personality. He's orange striped just like Ceasar. And has a little bit of white in the same areas.

But it makes me miss my cat Ceasar even more. :( I know I sound stupid and wimpy but its true.

That's great man. Cat's can be coo, but dogs are better.:D j/k. Lets see pic of the little bugger.

OMG! I love cats! Especially kittens!

I'm so sorry to hear about Caesar. I know how it is to loose a cat/s. Just in the past 2 years I've lost 4 of the cats I grew up with. I guess that's what you get when you adopt them so close in age ~ they all die around the same time. It was so absolutely horrible losing them.

Anyway, I have 2 cats now of my own and they are the most amazing things ever! I have Iraney and Zoey, both Calicos! Iraney is absolutely huge. Some call her Blimpy or others just call her Fat A$$. Cats have such wonderful personalities! Kittens are especially cute cause they just zoom around the house playing with everything! Zoey is over a year and a half and she still plays like a kitten!

Good luck with Hercules! :p

I like cats better than dogs. NO crap to go clean up in the yard every weekend. That makes it so much better.

I'll have my sister give me some of the pictures she's taken already. He's a cute little bugger.

Suprised he hasnt attacked the Christmas Tree's or the small town we have underneath the one tree in my family room.

Ceasar used to bat the small porcealin people around and attack the train as it went by. I should of taped him when I had a chance, I could of made a low budget Monster movie with that. :D

Strawberry.

I've always been partial to cats. We have 3, Persues (from greek mythology) is pure black and 15 years old, Casuis (Not spelled right, greek mythology, the one who captured pegasus, and Persues killed.) he's orange striped also and has pretty crystal blue eyes. He's about 5 years old.

And Ceasar was about a year and half old. Orange striped. Nursed back from sickness. He was the runt of the liter. He never got really big, but had a big heart. I miss him. :(

Now Herculeus, destroyer of Spaghetti. :D

Good for you. It will help the grievibg process to have him around! They bring such life. Enjoy your new friend, and never forget the memories your old buddy had with you.

It's not wimpy to like cats. We have 3. Only two of them do I consider mine though. The 3rd one is a retard.

I'd prefer a dog, but we don't have room for one so we have cats.

Here's a pic of my Tonkinese...

She's a real sweetheart. Playful, but never gets mean like most cats do. And she knows when a Mustang is pulling into town from a mile away! My wife says she jumps on the back of the couch long before she ever hears me pull in the drive. And since I come home at different times every night she must know my car. I've also seen her jump on the couch when a local Stang comes through town too quite a few times. Good cat :D

Good luck with your new kitten Merc.

U dork, u know u did that on purpose. But it was funny.

Congards on the new kat(misspelled on purpose). I hope u have as much fun with him as u did with the other. I've lost many cats too. I lost one to a car too. I guess he died quickly, kinda flat on the road.

Is your new cat Orange with white stripes? If so, I want to see, my first cat looked like that.

Animals seem to love me. When I go tp ppls houses, their pets always warm up to me fast. Some of my friends never can fiqure that out.

PKRWUD 01-01-2002 06:22 AM

I've had 14 cats over the past 29 years, including the seven I live with now (it's so nice of them to allow me to live in their house!). Cat's ROCK!

Merc, you're never going to forget Ceasar, or get over the fact that he's gone, but that's a good thing. You will grow to accept his passing, but the fact that he meant so much to you is the reason you will never forget him. Hercules will fill your life with new joy and fun, and will ease the pain that accompanies your thoughts of Ceasar. Over time, it will become easier. I'm really very happy that Hercules is now in your life. I know he will help you get through this like only a true, longtime friend could, even though he's really a rookie. That paradox will then create a wonderful new bond as well.

I truly feel your pain, Merc, but I also sense your newfound joy, and am very happy for you. Cat's absolutely rule.

Here's a page of pics of my current kids.

Take care,
-Chris
