Hey thoes of you who know i just got a 1991 Lx but the car did not come with a head unit (radio/tape player) but i have a cd player for it but the problem is that thw wires are not the same. Does anyone know what each wire is on a stock sterro system on a 1991 Lx

You can buy an adapter that will plug into the factory harness and usually into your new unit for $20 or less at just about any car stereo store.

yep, that what I do. All the wires are color coded and labled. Some of the popular ones can even be bought at wallmart.

almost forgot. there is two different adapters for the mustang. There is one for cars with the factory amp, and one without. They are two complety different plugs.
